Having abandoned Jingo and Katrina, the Óna-nist party arrives at the mineral rivers.
[Mineral rivers 0]
25% Encounter with another character. ✔️
25% The passage to one of the sectors turns out to be blocked. Clearing the blockage requires a character with the mining skill and 1 activity to spend. ❌

There they encounter a mysterious-looking individual.

Because of the pot on his head, it was impossible to tell where he was looking or what he was thinking.

—I can imagine... Although, no, I can't! And that's all.
As expected, they find the Hat in his own room – the door wasn't locked, and he was lying on the bed, with the hat pulled over his eyes. - Ah, guys... - There was no trace of his former energy in his voice, and he looked thinner and weaker than before. - How are things?

Good shoes are a plus, but what’s next?

“Well, it’s true that it’s easier to walk in good shoes,” agreed Rurek. “But our shoes are quite suitable for long journeys. Although, I agree, they could be better.”

Ah, if only we had fireproof boots... dreams, dreams!

I'm a bit busy today. If anything comes up, I'll join the others automatically, after first grabbing a staff, just like Jingo has.

Saraba
- Haven't you ever been told that you lack tact and are annoyingly persistent? - He sighs for the hundredth time since they met.
- Uh... No, I don't remember. Although, sometimes after a conversation, I hear my interlocutors whispering, "He's probably a complete jerk..." Especially when I wear that mantle. Not the one I'm wearing now, but the other one," he nods towards the dress.
- They're probably just jealous... And by the way, it not only protects me, but also those who are with me!
Saraba
- Alright, let's go together. But if anything happens, you'll be the bait for monsters or bandits.
- Let's go.

"What can you do? I'll be the 'bait'... May the power of disguise, long legs, and that shining mantle be with us!"

They head towards the "rivers." Before entering, Jingo changes into a dress.

—Yo! You look terrible, buddy. —After pacing on the threshold, he enters the room. —I won't even ask about the details... So, are you going to be okay?
—I will be. But for now, I'm not sure if that's a good thing.
—Well, to distract yourself from bad thoughts, you need to find something to do, —Khataright says to him, —how about going on a mission with us?
—What do we need to do? —Hat asks the Sorcerer.

Noticing the strange stranger, Barli didn't waste any time on him and continued on his way.

– Shoes should not only be comfortable but also provide moral satisfaction. – Atsuha gives the squad two pairs of boots. – Something like these.

Atsuha's Boots x2
+1 to Luck, +5 to Defense, +5 to Elemental Defense, immunity to Burn.

- What do we need to do? - Hat asks the Sorcerer.
—Yes, I think you know, your standard daily task. Go deliver cheese to the cats, give instructions to their leader, and then go home. That's in the best-case scenario. In the worst case, we might encounter our former gang of maniacs from Perverhatych, and then things will get hot. In short, an extra fighter and the bonus rank will be useful to us, but if you're not up to it, just stay put, because we already messed things up for you badly in the last one.

The Ivilai are not humans and cannot harbor malicious intent, so Rurek patted his chest and gratefully announced:

– We will not forget your help, little shoemaker! – after which, he arranged a distribution of the newly made footwear. – Out of all of us, I have the worst boots, so I will take one pair for myself. I suggest giving the second pair to Gaal. He is the most fragile among us. Unfortunately, there is no more fireproof footwear, but we will manage!

Deep down, Rurek felt ashamed that his boots were the worst in the team. He just wasn't very good at making shoes back in the day...
