I'm rushing to share world-changing news! Today, for the first time, we managed to launch Heroes 1 over the Internet!:smile13: Not on a local network, but specifically over the Internet!:smile20:
And that means, friends, that in the near future, we will all have the opportunity to play our favorite game in online mode and compete with each other, just like in the games of our older counterparts!:smile03:
The first attempts were not very successful, but as they say, the first pancake is always a flop... but now a solution has been found – and Heroes 1 in the DOS version is being tested in a new way...
... The feeling is indescribable; you have to experience it yourself! It's really cool!:smile20: :smile13:
All this is thanks to the wonderful people Miner and AlexSPL, who have done a lot for the development of this game and continue to work actively in various areas.
But the priority remains online play.
Work on the Win version is led by AlexSPL, and on the Dos version by Miner.
More details will be written later in the form of a report: “how it all happened.” Stay tuned for news!;)
Testing of the Dos version is currently ongoing!;)
All information will be posted on the handbook forum here. The game in online mode will also be discussed there!
We will be glad to have all interested players!:smile13:
Sincerely, VDV_forever
Online is awesome! :)
I have a request for the developers of the online version of the game.
Please make it so that programs that allow for scouting, such as Oracle, do not work in the online version of the game. :)
This is truly great news for fans of the Heroes series!
Playing the first part online is awesome!!
The Handbookhmm1 project invites everyone who wants to join a group of enthusiasts exploring the online game of the first Heroes. We will be glad to have everyone! :smile01:
