In recent years, my experiences have been rather neutral. A consistently mediocre experience, seasoned with a small dose of something good. Overall, it's tolerable, but I'd like it to be better.
Was 2016 the worst year?

2016 certainly wasn't the worst year. I can't remember a year worse than 2002.
Смысла нет, но вы держитесь там. Удачи, здоровья, хорошего настроения!

Let's talk about it in 2026.

2020 was a good year for me, although I realize that I was just lucky not to get seriously ill, and that none of my close relatives got sick (plus, I got vaccinated). But the quarantine was refreshing.

For me, 2021 was the absolute worst. Dying didn't seem like such a bad idea. Now things are so much better that I don't understand how I could have even had those thoughts.
А, вот почему.

In the second half of 2021, things were just starting to improve. But, as usual, the damned Soviets screwed everything up. Once again, we have to start from scratch 😩 Although many don't even have that opportunity...

I wholeheartedly agree with the previous commenters; my life has changed for the better, albeit in its own way. One might think that the three of us are the only ones who benefited from 2022.
