Posts from [HMM II TOURNAMENT OFF] The Tsar's Will.
I looked at Alex_R.'s detailed save files.
Yes, it's clear that he didn't put enough effort into it; Sandro was constantly moving from side to side, never settling on a final route.
But I seem to have been lucky: I immediately chose the most successful route (you can see it in the save files).
Regarding the 10 days – it might have been possible to achieve that, but I didn't have time to replay; in the save files, you can see how Sandro was short by a few squares: first, to get the boots a day earlier, then to reach the Necropolis.
Regarding 9 days – it's quite possible; it's a shame that your colleague, DR28, couldn't participate in the tournament.
Is he planning to join us in the future? ;)
And among the participants who did play, unfortunately, not everyone had enough time (or sometimes the desire) to improve their result.
The described route is similar to mine, only I lost half of the first day defending the mines, and also correcting other mistakes, such as getting the boots earlier; perhaps that could have given us a result of 9 days.
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth...
I can only register him remotely, from my computer. He doesn't have internet access. But I see him every workday, so I can provide his save files. He has perfected my walkthrough to every single tile. However, the workflow suffered a bit in the last week, but I'm not upset. If someone completed it in 9 days, I would have denied him the bonus, but I'll praise him tomorrow instead...
Let me clarify a few things upfront:
1. I didn't put much effort into assigning fast units to specific heroes (which is why my result was improved by 3 days).
2. This is my first time participating, and I might not be aware of all the global rules for completing the game.
After struggling to write the description up to the 3rd day, I realized that I'm not much of a writer, and my memory is terrible – I don't remember minor details (which hero took which pile of gold, etc.). I'm posting the save files; they should make my Walkthrough clear.
Here are the key points:
On the first day, be sure to buy a Sorceress.
After the fairies, Sandro goes straight to the Necropolis village without getting sidetracked; we build a Castle there and buy a hero. Luna, who has the Boots, surrenders, and we buy her back at the Necropolis Castle. We transfer the Boots from Luna to Sandro, take the skeletons from him, surrender at the Riders, and buy units at our home Castle. On the next day, we build a Shrine, transfer all the skeletons back to Sandro along the pre-built chain, and, after taking the Shovel, we go clockwise along the road, without getting sidetracked by minor things (Hydras - Zombie Mutants - Fairies - 2 piles of Gnomes - Zombie Mutants - we buy Djinns - Gnomes - Goblins - Archers (enough now) - Orcish Leaders). Due to my slow pace, I managed to have a secondary hero get the Scroll of Knowledge and the Helmet of Anduran and surrender at a nearby computer. This wouldn't be possible in a 9-day Walkthrough. When Sandro reaches the Necropolis Castle (the second-to-last day), we take the skeletons from him, the artifacts from the hero who surrendered, we defeat the Riders, and we take two more artifacts. On the last day, we transfer everything to Sandro and defeat the Archers.
With a hero specifically positioned near the market, we exchange all resources for Mercury.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Please forgive me for this technically poor Walkthrough.

The description of fulfilling the Tsar's will has been sent by messenger.
Here, I also provide the daily growth rate of skeletons during the map playthrough.
