Cinematic Story Trailer @ Triple-i initiative
Hello everyone! Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is the official prequel, harking back to the origins of the genre-defining, critically acclaimed series of turn-based strategy games that will be coming to PCs this Summer. Today, we revealed our story introduction into the game during the Triple-I Initiative Broadcast. Heroes games have always been very story-driven, and we would like to delve into that with you in Olden Era as well!https://steamcommunity.com/games/310...94774027486921

Devlog #9: Connecting Roots of the Whispering Grove
Mystical and fairytale-like forest cities have always been an integral part of "Heroes of Might and Magic," appearing in every game except "Heroes 6." However, in each part, they were presented differently. Thus, in "Heroes 1" and "Heroes 2," there was the magical, fairytale city of the Sorceress, in "Heroes 3" — the mystical Rampart and the elemental haven, Conflux. In "Heroes 4," the Preserve appeared, where both mythical and real animals lived, and in the world of Ashan, the main force of the Forest Alliance is the forest elves.Full text: https://steamcommunity.com/games/310...09885443867168
So, it can be said that in each game, the connection with nature is shown in its own way. In Olden Era, we decided to combine two motifs of the Sorceress city from "Heroes 2" — the fairytale and the elemental — into the Grove faction, bringing it closer to its original incarnation before the division that occurred in "Heroes 3." The reunification of the forest and elemental motifs in one city gave us a unique opportunity to rethink the four elements and embody them in forms closer to the original image of the Sorceress city. To do this, we turned to less popular mythologies, drawing inspiration from them when creating the Iriad and Aqualotl.
Combining the power of nature and the grandeur of the elements, the descendants of the Sorceress faction came and went like the tides and changed like the seasons, embodying different facets of the living world. However, they always remained, in one way or another, a city of the Forest, in which nature and mysticism prevailed.

Sylvan Faction — Teaser trailer
The season of Spring is upon us! As the flora and fauna around the world awaken, so does the forest of Murmurwoods rise to uncover its secrets!https://steamcommunity.com/games/310...09885443867625
Join us as we show you the sneak peek of the Sylvan — a faction where fey guardians of nature and the elementals live in unison, defending their unique homeland from outer threats as various heroes, including elves, aid their efforts. The faction's playstyle will be focused on utility, each unit having its own unique abilities that will provide you with a lot of variety in your fighting choices — from empowering the rest of your units to boosting your magical capabilities — the defenders of Murmurwoods march forward to ensure their place in Jadame is secure!

Like many other creatures from Murmurwood, the Echo wasn't born, but rather formed – a living tapestry shaped by the primal instinct of the forest to mimic and preserve. Somewhere between a dream and an intention, the forest breathed life into her. Some druids consider her a rare form of elemental, invited by the forest itself to explore the world and learn its patterns and hidden paths. Although she walks in a form that reflects elven grace, her essence is fluid, capable of mimicking the appearance and behavior of almost anyone she has seen.
She doesn't speak her own language because she has none. Instead, her voice is a patchwork of borrowed phrases – echoes of words once spoken in the shadows of the forest. Touch is her conduit: through it, she evokes fleeting, whispering reflections of others – not quite illusions, not quite real – like memories drawn from the bark of old trees or the surface of still water, challenging reality in a wondrous way. What the Echo seeks (if she seeks anything at all) remains unknown. But wherever stories are whispered and voices repeat what no one should say, she is always nearby – her presence marked by an aura of pure mana, hovering in the air.
Specialization: Whispering Copy
Starts the game with the "Mirror Image" spell at Master level. This version of the spell can be targeted at enemy creatures. When casting this spell, the effectiveness of spells increases by 1 every 3 levels.

By the way, the translation is also better than their official VK version.
Just a reminder, Dickpick is completely free; anyone with a Google account can go in and create something better than what these fans have come up with. And refining the details according to the lore takes only five minutes; it can even be done manually.
Me:
Haha, you're so excited!
Okay. Give me a hero's biography, 1500-1800 symbols long (yes, a bit longer than classic HoMM3). Act as a professional and passionate high fantasy writer (J.R.R. Tolkien, R. Jordan, U. Le Guin, R. Zelazny, etc.). Check the NWC heroes' lore; there shouldn't be any contradictions, but otherwise, be creative.
Hero details:
Name: Echolie
Appearance: forest spirit, somewhat between a fairy, a plant, and a butterfly, painted in vibrant blue, purple, and yellow colors.
Gender: female.
Ability: magic class hero. Starts with a powerful illusion spell.
Theme: echoes and illusions.
Faction: Sylvan. Similar to Sorceress in 1 & 2, Rampart & Conflux in 3, Nature in 4, but more unrestrained and creative. In the Olden Era, Sylvan focuses on the ancient, wild, and mysterious Murmurwoods, full of magic, life, and nature spirits.
Dickpick:
**Echolie of the Murmurwoods**
The forest remembers. It remembers the footfalls of ancient beasts, the whispered spells of long-dead druids, and the first laughter of the spirits who awoke beneath its boughs. But none remember as deeply as **Echolie**, the Weaving Echo, whose very existence is a refrain of the Murmurwoods’ oldest song.
Born from the **last sigh of a dying sylph** and the **light of a trapped twilight**, Echolie is neither fully fae nor wholly plant, but something woven between. Her wings, delicate as moth-silk and shimmering with hues of **violet, cerulean, and gold**, catch the forest’s magic like a net catches dew. Where she steps, flowers bloom in her silhouette, their petals curling into shapes of creatures that never were—**phantoms of possibility**.
She is the forest’s **living echo**, a keeper of its hidden melodies. When the first elves of Murmurwoods sang to the trees, it was Echolie who **twisted their voices into illusions**, teaching them to deceive invaders with false paths and mirage-beasts. Now, she wanders the deeper glades where the trees hum in languages no mortal tongue can shape, and the air thrums with **half-heard spells**.
Her magic is that of **reflection and resonance**. With a flick of her fingers, she can make an army hear the howls of a thousand wolves where there are none, or conjure a second sun to blind her foes. Some say she once tricked a Kreegan warband into marching in circles until they withered into husks, their minds lost in a labyrinth of their own fears. Others whisper that she doesn’t cast illusions—**she unweaves reality**, peeling back the world’s skin to show the dreams beneath.
Yet for all her power, Echolie is bound to the Murmurwoods. To leave would be to **fade like a forgotten note**, for she is as much a part of the forest as its roots and rivers. Those who seek her must listen—not with their ears, but with their **bones**, for her voice lingers where the wind carries it, and her truest spells are sung, not spoken.
**Special Ability**: *"Echo of the First Spell"*
Echolie begins with **Phantom Legion** (a unique illusion spell that creates fragile, invulnerable duplicates of allied units, confusing enemies). Her illusions last longer and deal minor psychic damage when dispelled.
**Quote**: *"You think you hear the wind? No, mortal—that is the forest laughing at you."*
---
How’s that? I kept her **wild, mysterious, and deeply tied to nature’s illusions**, with a touch of melancholy (since spirits in *HoMM* often have tragic undertones). Need more lore hooks or tweaks? 😊
*P.S. If you want, I can add ties to specific *Might & Magic* locations (e.g., the *Whispering Hills* from MM6) or legendary items (like the *Tear of Asha*)!*
Me:
Wow, great stuff! I like it. Translate it into Russian, please, so I can share it with people who don't understand English.
