🐙 Planet Aberat, Kingdom of Selya-Mira 🐙 Auto-translated

Chance of successful crafting: 55%

Is the chance calculated separately for each piece of armor?

The chance of a successful craft doesn't mean that if you get a 45-minus result, you won't get anything... because there's also the material quality parameter and the probability of getting a good item... with a negative bonus. But this applies to each craft separately.

and the probability of getting a good item... with a negative modifier.

So, can there be a stat penalty?

"So, I don't really know anything about him," Radiant thought, "but if I had to write about Yog-Sothoth, or about my father, or even about myself, that would be a different story, but as it is..."
Unexpectedly, the writer slapped herself on the cheeks.
"No, this is a defeatist attitude... If I approach everything like this, then my life will pass in the same way, first in melancholy, and then in anger..."
Clenching her fists, she still decides to try her hand at this not-so-simple task and soon gets to work.

So, can there be a stat penalty?

You have very high stats, so with a good material, you will most likely craft a regular armor like in a store, with a good chance of getting an enhanced one, with a small chance of getting nothing or a debuff, and with a tiny chance of getting high-quality armor.

The narrator wishes Radiante good luck.

Harold arrives at Steel and Hide. He has seven regular metal ingots.

—Greetings, good master! —the northerner greeted the owner. —Allow a fellow blacksmith to take a look around and test his skills.
For starters, he plans to craft a steel medium armor.

By the way, did I get experience for the cockroach?

While exploring the shops, Albrecht suddenly realized that he felt a strong aversion to buying certain items. His hands itched too much to make everything himself. It was strange, as he was a dancer, not a craftsman.
After buying the necessary materials to craft a full set of leather armor and an amulet against mind control, Albrecht got to work.

It grants +stats instead of experience.

Harold Skufinson spends 3 regular metal ingots and gets to work.

Albrecht has one action point left.

Albrecht Van Hosling and Harold Skufinson meet in "Steel and Leather"

Having equipped items without any debuffs, Albrecht decides to return "home" so as not to be left out on the street overnight due to a lack of action points. "Oh! I got carried away with work and completely forgot about the watermelon; I'll have to postpone the purchase again," thought the young man. Albrecht didn't pay much attention to the large fellow who was also making items for himself.

Albrecht returns to the Secret Guard headquarters. Subpar items are sent to the inventory. However, our great master armorer could have spent that last action point, as moving to the house is free, but it's too late now. It's time to rest and regain strength for the next day.

Meanwhile, in the mansion:

An elderly cultist wakes up and is summoned to the main hall.

- "What a load of nonsense," Radiant thought, looking at her text. For a moment, she wanted to crumple it up and throw it in the trash, but she decided that it wouldn't be worth wasting her efforts and went to submit the work to her boss.
Epicness comes in many forms. You can rush into a deadly battle with a huge, fire-breathing dragon with a sword in your hand. You can step into a cave as dark as night and rescue a beautiful lady from the clutches of hideous trolls. You can find and plunder a mythical treasure chest. You can be a brave ruler, boldly defending your land and people from barbarian hordes. All of this is undoubtedly heroic deeds that require extraordinary courage and are worthy of legends. However, the epic nature of the human soul is not limited to this alone. There is something else, less pompous but no less important – the breadth of the heart. Heroism is born in the depths of the human mind, which are incomprehensible. This is what this story, perhaps not very exciting, but true, will tell. However, the reader should understand that if the need arises, the Master will defeat the dragon, rescue the lady, break into the chest, and repel the barbarians, and his mysterious face, hidden by a veil of darkness from unworthy eyes, is capable of inspiring a sense of awe in enemies, while friends find safety and a family hearth in his warm eyes, because for the plunderers, he is both a loyal friend and a reliable mentor, a blood brother and a respected father, and a loving grandfather. Such an understanding and competent leader is something that members of other organizations can only dream of. Some might think that all these laudatory epithets are the result of the narrator's need to dilute his story with filler to reach a certain word count, but this is definitely not the case – anyone who wishes can try to join the ranks of the Walden clan and personally verify the truth of what has just been read. Moreover, it is quite logical that under the leadership of a person of such great caliber, his subordinates will also be distinguished by high human qualities, so the path to success, physical health, and spiritual harmony lies precisely through this wonderful organization!
However, now we will finally move on to our story. Is it based on events that actually took place? Or is it perhaps an allegory describing an internal conflict? Let the reader try to determine this for himself!

Once upon a time, the Master had a childhood friend named Kabi. Their views on life were extremely different, and their characters were completely incompatible, which led to the fact that at a certain stage of their lives, they stopped communicating. However, time passed, the Master-trickster organized a new exciting enterprise that promised to be very successful, and soon Kabi showed up at the headquarters of the plunderers.
"Can I join the plunderers?" he asked at the doorstep, "I'm asking in case you don't want to accept me for one reason or another... I wouldn't want to put you in an awkward position, you understand."
Given their tense, dramatic, and youthful past, the Master had some doubts, but he decided not to dwell on them. Perhaps this opportunity will help them mend their relationship, so why not? After all, the more people in the organization, the more fun! Moreover, this was not some unknown person who appeared out of nowhere, but an old friend, and there were many of their common friends among the plunderers. Surely everyone will benefit from this.

So Kabi joined the plunderers, and at first, things seemed to be going well: cheerful laughter echoed in the halls of the headquarters, treasure hunters and explorers of ancient ruins helped each other in every way, they joked together, and there was a worthy Aberat idyll all around. But soon, problems began to arise.
Full of enthusiasm, Kabi, at the behest of his soul, took on a very dangerous task, and after a couple of weeks, he sent the Master a plaintive letter, in which he stated that "this is the most stingy and boring task of all the tasks that have ever existed." The first letter was followed by a second, and the second by a third. Every step on the way to completing the task was accompanied by new letters, in which he described how bad, unfair, and how lucky other plunderers were to be on more interesting tasks than the one that fell to Kabi. To the Master's relief, this task eventually reached its completion, and he hoped that his disgruntled friend would regain some of his composure and some semblance of decency, but instead, the situation only worsened... Here, a representative of the NPC dynasty was rude, there, a bureaucrat put a meaningless digit in the papers, this is bad, that is not right, and so on. And when the Master announced new assignments, he almost had a tantrum, claiming that he had been undervalued and not given enough rewards. Over time, listening to Kabi's almost daily dissatisfaction with the state of affairs in the organization became the main source of stress for the Master in leading the Plunderers, but due to his inherent professionalism, he tried not to give this too much importance, although sometimes thoughts of retiring crept into his head, but at that time he had already done more than enough in his position.

After some time, the Plunderers took on a new dangerous task, and the Master announced that anyone who could not cope with it would lose something important. Many plunderers failed the task and lost what was dear to them, but they all accepted this with the stoicism characteristic of members of the organization. All except Kabi. He also failed the task and threw a three-day tantrum at the Master. With an abundance of obscene language, insults, attempts at psychological blackmail, and many other unpleasant things. He believed that his situation was different from that of other plunderers and that he was a more valuable member of the organization than they were, saying that he was the most active, took on the most tasks, and so on. He said that they were also very upset that he had not completed the task, and that he should definitely be given another chance, otherwise the entire organization would be demoralized.

If the Master had been an ordinary person, he would have simply stopped communicating with this peculiar person. But unlike most other inhabitants of Aberat, the Master was a man of broad soul, and therefore he swallowed his pride, closed his eyes to his own principles, rejected logic, betrayed the expectations of the other plunderers, and gave Kabi another chance. And they all lived happily ever after. As before, the Master continued to lead the organization, and Kabi and the other plunderers cheerfully carried out various tasks, communicated cheerfully with each other, traveled around Aberat, and got the most out of life. After all, in the world, especially recently, there were so many problems, conflicts, and suffering, and therefore friends needed to stick together, even if they had serious difficulties in understanding each other. This is what epic breadth of heart means, available to only a few.

Realizing that moving two squares at a time isn't ideal for someone with his tasks, and that heavy gear and smoking aren't excuses, Dervos decides to complete the initial stage of the young, successful fighter training course.
It wouldn't hurt some imaginary guards on a donut-and-coffee diet, from whose image he was trying to distance himself as much as possible, to get some cardio training too.

"Sir," he asks the trainer. "What do you mean by 'glorious duels'? Is it supposed to involve paying money to let off steam?"

Master, Xaiya Walden and Amorin Walden gaze open-mouthed at Radianta's work.

– Initially, I was against all this fuss for my 80th birthday... but now I don't regret that everything happened exactly this way. It was worth it!

– Am I the only one who understood almost nothing in this text? For example, what does the word "human" mean? Or "childhood"... – Amorin points his finger at the sheet with the work.

– I think it's just a more original approach to ordinary flattery, – Xaiya expresses her opinion.

– Perhaps we lack some knowledge. After all, none of us studied at the Academy of Selya-Mira.

– But that doesn't change the complete same unrealistic nature of the text...

The funny dispute between the looters is interrupted by the head of the Walden house herself, having heard the unusual liveliness of her closest associates. To the slight alarm of the latter, she approaches the table, takes the sheet and reads Radianta's work.

– Mm, how interesting...

– Forgive her, Head, she is still a novice in our business! Do not judge strictly!

– What a rich imagination. Tell me, Master, what would you do with this Kabi in reality?

– Exile or execution, depending on details not described in the text.

The head of the Walden house nods and adjusts her braid.

– What an amusing girl this Radianta is. Give her half the reward for my good mood.

– As you wish, Head!

After some time, a thousand cetrens are brought to Radianta, and a bit later Kearak arrives and, using his ability, persuades one of the looters to help in an upcoming matter.

– Hello, Radianta. I've decided to give the puppies a rematch... and even found a third... how about heading to a place already known?

Radianta O'Mila receives 1000 cetrens and loses one action point.

Meanwhile, with the guard:

Any whim for your cetrens. Now Derevos has become twice as fast.

– This is a duel between our warrior and you. The payment goes to the warrior himself. For the fact that he spends his time waiting for random opponents. A duel is an excellent opportunity to test one's martial skill.

- Understood. Well, I'll drop by if I have a couple of thousand extra cetrans.
Having finished his business at this establishment, the law enforcement officer steps out into the fresh air and rummages through his pockets in search of a pack of cigarettes (which somehow disappeared from his inventory 🤔), because nothing better has been invented to help him recover after a physical training session.
"I wonder if the local fighter earns more than I do?" he thought as he was taking care of himself.

Finally, he spends a whole ONE to walk three meters towards Knowledge-5.

The Wood Elf comes to the College of Wise Minds, but unfortunately, he has no more cigarettes left. He smoked them all.
