I don't know. I can tell you about baked muesli, and I can also talk a little about cereal.
With cornflakes, it's simple; most of what's sold in stores is okay. But if you need a universal sweet snack, I go for Gold flakes with powdered sugar (honey ones are also good, but only with milk).
I haven't tried bran or any healthy food.
Granola is a different story. Most manufacturers are constantly trying to mess it up. They either mix wheat balls into the oats (which aren't very tasty, and if I want something like that, I'll buy separate cereal and mix it myself, is that so hard?). Or they replace sugar with some awful substitute. Or they dilute the product with something else, or they don't bake the oats enough; it's a pain. Read the ingredients. In general:
Bionova – don't buy it under any circumstances, 1/10.
Granolife – too sweet because,
in addition to sugar syrup, they added sucralose for some reason. Nevertheless, it's a better-than-average option; sucralose isn't the worst-tasting sugar substitute, and the other ingredients are of good quality, 6/10.
Ogo! – surprisingly cheap and decent (I like the tropical one), but watch out for the expiration date. I once bought a package, and it wasn't very good; it was rancid, even though the expiration date hadn't technically passed. So, you need to buy a fresher one, 7/10.
Matti – they boast that they're cool Finnish muesli, but in reality, it's the same option with balls and other nonsense in the package. The chocolate ones are especially disappointing; there's basically no chocolate in them, 5/10.
AXA – the best I remember. It's not that there aren't any unnecessary things in the package, but there are very few. The oats are baked well, and the sugar is perfect, 9/10.
I thought I had tried other options, but I can't remember them now.
Well, the ideal option, a 10/10, is this:
https://www.edimdoma.ru/retsepty/6928-granola-domashnie-myusliModify the recipe to your taste – for example, I add a little sugar in addition to honey, and I skip the cinnamon and ginger... And, of course, the main ingredients are oats, honey, and oil (so it doesn't burn). The other additions are any nuts in any proportion you like, raisins, or dried apricots, or freeze-dried fruits (strawberries, cranberries)... For the last three items, don't do it like in the recipe; don't add them right away, or they'll burn. It's better to wait until the oatmeal is baked and add the raisins at the very end.
A little trick: turning on the convection mode in the oven speeds up the granola preparation, and you can reduce the temperature so you don't have to worry about the oatmeal and there's no need to stir it.
Enjoy your meal.
