Do we need Ashan?
something like this? ))
where do you think I should get the skull from?
Hey, remember we were talking about some kind of golem? I think it was for the Necropolis faction? I forgot – did you come up with it and are you going to create it?
I came across a picture, it's unusual. It's a golem, somewhat similar to the one from "6 or 7," but a bit hunched over, like a hunchback. It has spikes/rods sticking out of its back, and on them, well, you know who – undead, maybe even something else from D&D... but I haven't seen anything like it before.

I came across this picture, it's unusual. Basically, it's a golem, somewhat similar to the "6 or 7" one, but slightly hunched over, like a hunchback. It has spikes/rods sticking out of its back, and on them, well, you know who – undead, maybe even creatures of the undead... it seems like it's also a creature from D&D, but I hadn't seen it before.
T1) Skeleton
T2) Magic Skull
T3) Bee Zu-Za Giant Fly
T4) Man with a Shovel (the lack of shovels and lanterns has severely hampered development)
T5) Flying Undead (it's currently at tier 6)
T6) Knight (there's no armor for the horses)
T7) Archon
What's the problem?
First, there's the overall concept. I thought it was a fallen and resurrected land, so it should have a unique armor style (hexagonal). BUT, I couldn't put the Lich in hexagonal armor, so I put him in armor from Dark Messiah. I learned how to port armor from Dark Messiah, and that led me down a rabbit hole – I really love Dark Messiah, and I made three knights on horses. These are great units, but I don't have armor for the horses! I tried to paint it myself, but it all looks terrible. I need to change the armor or the unit.
Since things are difficult with the horses, I decided to work on another important unit – the Flying Undead. I wanted to make it in the style of Dark Messiah, but it turned out to be garbage. The model is too mobile, so I couldn't re-dress it properly. The armor goes through the torso, so I gave up.
I went back to the old concepts – ancient undead, but now I'm developing it for NCF because I'm not sure if it will work out well. For example, a cool necro-fly doesn't really fit with our Greco-Roman theme.
I like the concept of necro-Romans more because it's simple – ancient undead are rising everywhere, but the Necromancers can't fully control them all because the ancient sorcerers tied all the rituals to the emperor and his will, but the emperor has been dead for a long time, and his descendants are lost.
But I don't know how to tie the flies into that, maybe I'll come up with something later, or maybe I'll replace them.
Anyway, I'm currently working on the NCF Necromancer Faction. If I can put together a lineup of seven units, I'll make upgrades and add it to the faction
Hmm, okay, let me see if I can help. I'll try, but let's start with something specific. Tell me more precisely what you need... for example, with that horse armor.

Specifically, if I were to request a new horse armor design, it would automatically be a rejection for the Necro-Romans and Cataphracts.
But in principle, if I replace the horse itself with a simple, unarmored one, it would suit any concept, but the question is, what kind of horse? It's a difficult question...
In Mount & Blade and mods for that game, there are models of simple and skeletal horses, as well as models with blankets and models of powerful Chaos steeds. But you can also look in other places.
Or, maybe there's another problem – the knight doesn't know how to be happy (there's no animation at all, and he also has a huge sword; I can't imagine a knight lifting it above his head, so I have no ideas).
In principle, this is what bothers me the most. If there's a beautiful horse, it can be used even without armor, but with my horses, the armor is only needed to cover the joints, and the problem is specifically with the unupgraded units because the rust on the armor is reflected.

There's also another unit – a fairytale unit, a dream unit, or rather, a hero. I abandoned this idea because I can't implement it at all.
In Heroes 5, there's a problem with these heroes – any item attached with an effect will be visible through it if it goes beyond the hero's model on the adventure map (that's why the Cultist hero, Albrikh, got a special model – on the map, he has a compact, closed helmet, but in battle, the helmet's visor is raised; it's the open visor that sticks out above his head).
So, I wanted to create a flying stone throne on which a Dwarf-Mage hero would sit. This would emphasize that the Dwarf heroes are incredibly far in power and status from ordinary units, but again, there are questions – how will he move? Quickly? Will the throne float high in a vortex of magic? And what about the flag?
But I don't want to go back to this concept because I've already spent a lot of effort painting the bear. It was too complicated
Listen, the Throne is interesting! It slightly resembles the Mage on a flying carpet from Heroes 6 or 7, right? Is there any picture? Like a concept art or something similar?

Ulfric's throne from Skyrim looks good; I wonder if there's a hole in the back.
only the stone shield and swords on the back of the throne don't look very good; dwarves would have hung iron ones to show off their blacksmithing skills.

I found the Windhelm throne, but I don't know what textures it uses.
