I learned a lot of new things, people certainly have a vivid imagination, and some of the names I'll even use myself; many were new to me.
Here are some of my creature variations:

Slang is usually used in two cases:
1. For brevity during chats and reports.
2. Just for fun.
And of course, both cases together.
Skiers, breakers - zombies.
Hats - gremlins.
Rainy - highly moral.
Goats - demons.
Axes - halberdiers.
Axes - minotaurs.
Marks - archers.
To drink, to get drunk - to cast a blessing.
There are also some very cool slang expressions, but they are usually used in a narrow circle. ;)

Here's another example:
whips - pit lords
sickles - devils,
harps - jellyfish.

Well, thirdly, I almost always use the original names for the creatures, except for Phoenixes – I call them “birdies,” Riders – “little horses,” and so on. Except for the Lords from Inferno, which some people call “BDSM creatures.” But in the fifth game, everything is done in the style of the third… for example, I call Furies “harpies,” Warmongers “orgs,” and so on.
