As I understand it, the Heroes player has the following plan: Character 1 hires a guide, visits two locations, and returns to the default location with the guide for free. Character 2 picks up the guide from the default location, visits three locations, and returns. Character 3 repeats the actions of Character 2.
I remember a similar riddle about a boat, sheep, a wolf, and vegetables.

It's possible, with the caveat that the guide has the same limit on the number of visits per day.
