Well, the protagonist in Vira's story (regardless of gender) is quite canonically in second place in terms of interest... In some of the Faith episodes, Catalina even says to them: "Well, I'm not blind, I see what kind of relationship you have..."

Even without Vira, the protagonist has a large harem; he could have easily given her up.

There aren't many options to choose from anyway...

I can't help but agree; the selection is really poor.

Who said that Djite/Granu is given a choice? He/She is simply married at a certain point to Alliah, and that's it... Life is tough; you don't always get what you want from it...
