New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
There were such cases.
They were, but it's better to lose skeletons that you can raise later than dragons. Isn't it?
Well, at a certain stage, even Dark Elves can fight without losses!
But you can almost always defeat opponents with Necropolis... of course, if the opponent isn't too strong...
You shouldn't count the enemy's strength, but defeat him. Necropolis can indeed defeat anyone if they are given enough time to build up their army.
He's one of us!!! And no matter what, knowing who you'll be fighting against is sometimes more important...
That's true. But Necromancers still have it easier. Their skeletons scare even stronger (in terms of higher-tier monsters) opponents. And nobles aren't that interesting.
Yeah, now almost everyone is afraid of our skeletons... but it's good that they made them archers.
That's awesome. I always found it annoying that Necropolis only had one ranged unit, even though it was very powerful.
Actually, skeleton archers aren't that scary; goblins are noticeably stronger, so there's no need to be particularly afraid of them. In my opinion, the undead's dangerous units are vampires (especially in their upgraded form), liches in reasonable numbers (6 liches won't decide the battle), if those liches are even built... and the banshees; they are strong. In general, after playing undead in HotA and in single-player, one can say that the undead's strength lies in their cheap resurrection magic. Level 2 and 6 mana, and a quick clear of the map at the beginning, provides a good start. Their weaknesses are the generally low initiative of the army and the lack of clearly defined tanks in the undead army – monsters capable of absorbing mass damage.
