— To begin with, I'll please those who've been stuck in Baldr: with the arrival of spring, I'll be sending you on my errands to other parts of the kingdom — finally see the world. With that in mind, one of the goals of today's training was to give you a taste of the reality that awaits beyond our home, and here's what we have, — Gungnir began reading from the notebook in which he'd been jotting notes throughout the fights, — Veserod died once, Gullveig three times, Shino six times, Kalentia three times, Anders four times, Anselm six times, Renold five times, — Ilva could have sworn the baron's gaze lingered on her for a moment, — Eir five times, Daniel three times, Ryohei three times. In other words, had these not been training bouts, every one of you would already be back in Arteria's embrace. Some may be unhappy with the conditions of the fights, but potential opponents won't ask what weapon you prefer or at what distance you like to fight. — The old man picked up a menacing-looking musket and drew his listeners' attention to it. — As of today, this is the most dangerous personal weapon available to a man. Unlike various kinds of sorcery and the highest levels of martial craft, which are accessible only to a select few, learning to use this weapon doesn't take much time, and that is precisely where its danger lies — even in the hands of an inexperienced opponent, it can easily cut your life short. So keep in mind that your task is not victory, but survival and the protection of what you hold dear, because there will always be someone who can strike you down — if not through talent, then through numbers or treachery, and then the list of trophies won't matter anymore. But be that as it may, I hope that thanks to today you've managed to recognize your own weaknesses and will henceforth devote time to mastering them. That was the second goal of this training, and as for the third... Well, you'll learn of it in due time. — The baron rose from the stump he'd been sitting on. — Those responsible for cleaning up the city will be Imelda, Ilva, Alessia, Shino, and Anselm. That is all. Veserod, follow me.
Today Gungnir did not answer any questions and, together with Veserod, headed off in a direction unknown to the rest. Eisen made sure none of the participants needed medical attention and went home, while Matthias began putting away the training equipment, for some reason on his own. Before parting ways, he advised Daniel to stop by in a couple of weeks — maybe he'd even show him how to shoot a crossbow.

Unity
A unique trait of Gungnir von Breckendorf's wards. Upon learning it, one of six available options is chosen. The Unity bonus is set before a battle with one ally who has the same trait; after the battle, it can be used with another character.
A. Motivation
With a 30% chance, grants an ally +5 to initiative; activates once per phase.
B. Prayer (Church of Arteria)
With a 30% chance, removes one negative effect from an ally and restores 50% of their health when they take damage; activates once per phase.
C. Onslaught
With a 25% chance, an ally takes an extra turn out of sequence and attacks the same opponent as the character, provided they have enough movement points and there are no obstacles in the way.
D. Retribution
The character takes an extra turn out of sequence when their ally is attacked, in order to attack the one who dealt damage to the ally, provided they have enough movement points and there are no obstacles in the way; activates once per phase.
E. Shield
With a 30% chance, the character takes upon themselves an attack intended for their ally, provided they have enough movement points and there are no obstacles in the way; damage from that attack is halved.
D. Leadership
+5 to leadership if the character has the corresponding skill and is the leader of a squad. A character with this trait cannot leave battle before their allies do.
