Today we are going to talk about how we originally tackled the factions in the Remake. While these initial designs are still evolving based on your feedback, we're excited to share a behind-the-scenes look into their creation. You can also scroll down to the end of the article, to see some of the updated design of units based on your previous feedbacks.

Now, let’s get started.

To preserve the spirit of the original game within a 3D remake framework, we established a set of core guidelines right from the start to steer our creature design:

Explore Different Playstyles in Heroes III Remake

Greetings, Heroes!

Ever since our reveal, we have been closely following the community discussions around preserving authenticity. Many veteran players have been asking the same question: With a brand new 3D camera and presentation, how do we ensure that the Remake keeps everything that makes the Original so great and special for so many fans and players?

That is why today, we want to introduce a brand-new feature: Playstyles.

Playstyles are a suite of in-game features designed for players to customize their gameplay experience. This feature offers three built-in presets (Classic, Strategic, and Immersive) as well as a fully Customized Playstyle. Through this flexible framework, you can adjust visual elements like color, lighting, camera, and object scales, alongside gameplay settings such as movement speed, combat speed, and animation toggles. Our goal is to enable every player to craft their ideal Heroes III Remake experience.

In this blog, we want to start by serving up our classic recipe: The Classic Playstyle.

Classic Playstyle

In the Classic Playstyle, our goal is simple: faithfully recreate the Erathia you remember, making veteran players feel right at home the moment they start playing.

To achieve this, we have made a series of dedicated adjustments to mirror the original experience:
