From the start, Axel preferred to avoid close confrontation, taking up a bow. Alaria, in turn, threw knives at the wyvern, just as she had done with my Zephyr.

This "exchange of courtesies" lasted quite a while. Just as Gloomy Sky's arrows had to struggle to pierce through Catharsis's armor, so too did her knives barely penetrate the wyvern's defense.

Ultimately, in this prolonged battle, the wyvern fell first. By that time, Alaria had lost no small amount of blood, but that did not hinder her from charging at her opponent with a sword. Axel, in turn, also switched from bow to blade, with which he struck the girl on the second swing. Now it became much harder for the Knight of Catharsis to land hits, as had been the case with other opponents of Gloomy Sky.

The girl had to retreat to heal. Axel, meanwhile, kept trying to cut her down with his sword as if nothing had happened. Sometimes extremely successfully, sometimes not so much.

After using more than half of her healing potion, Alaria decided to go on the offensive with such force that now the Knight of Gloomy Sky reached for his own flask.

Thus they continued their blade dance in the open, forgetting about healing, right up until Axel drove his sword into the shoulder of the Knight of Catharsis so deeply that she had no choice but to wait for medical aid. An honest victory for Gloomy Sky, earned with no small effort.

If a guy can't get it up and he's not an old man, that's sad. The job thing is fixable. And if a girl is spouting nonsense like "you've ceased to be the one I used to love" — then either the guy has dementia/mental disorders and there's literally a different personality there, or the lady is a red flag.
