A minor graphical bug has been noticed. When the creature queue is enabled in battle, a brown background strip appears on the same line as the queue, to the left of the battle window. Overall, it doesn't interfere with gameplay, but it is noticeable.

I installed HOTA + HD MOD on a Windows 7 virtual machine.
In the lobby, I can't type in the general chat; the cursor is present, but I can't write anything. I can enter the game password or write to someone in a private message. Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Is there a solution?

I have the same problem, although everything was fine before; it's in read-only mode... Windows 10.

Confirmed. A started Jebus Cross on a 4-minute timer SoD. When it became clear he would lose there, the game stopped and no continuation followed. I stopped offering to finish.

This isn't the first complaint about this player. I will issue losses for all the reports I have. I will give him a warning; if that doesn't work, I will reset his rating.

Good evening, please consider another complaint, this time against the player Knight.ro. We played on an 8xm8 template; today, after a suggestion to finish the game, he verbally admitted defeat, but requests to load back in and concede the rating (gg) are being ignored. I am attaching a screenshot of our conversation in the lobby where this is visible.

Hello everyone. I encountered a problem with a player named Tim_, who was described as "experienced and respected," leaving the SOD lobby mid-game.

Here's what happened: we were finishing a recent save game, but when loading it, I couldn't find my latest save. I informed my opponent about this. His solution was to continue the game.

Naturally, I repeated the turn, focusing on taking control of the Dragon Utopia for stats. Suddenly, the player typed in chat, "Okay, I don't feel like playing anymore. Thanks for the game," and left (disconnected).

My logical question was, "What exactly is going on?" The "experienced and respected" player responded by accusing me of cheating or not repeating the turn correctly, claiming that I had lost badly in Maxitop last time but didn't go there this time, changing direction. My reasonable objection – why would I go to the far Dragon Utopia without mana and the ability to return – was ignored. The real situation is that I hadn't planned to go to the far Dragon Utopia; I wasn't even aware of it until one turn before. I was heading towards the one near the Castle with a small amount of mana, which was clearly visible.

After thinking about where the save file went, I realized that I had saved it under a strange name, as if it were just a regular save from a few turns ago (I was already tired and playing automatically; it wasn't intentional). After that, I sent the save file through a third party to my opponent, proving that the turn had been repeated as much as possible. However, he "prudently" added me to his blacklist. But that's just the beginning: now, the highly-respected (actually not) Tim_ has come up with two additional excuses:

1. I created a fake save file with the correct timestamp.
2. He has the right to leave because the losses in the second attempt at taking control of the Dragon Utopia were smaller.

I won't even bother discussing the first excuse; it's ridiculous.

But the second one deserves analysis. Indeed, after the first attempt, I had 1 angel and 21 ducks left, while in the second attempt, morale units joined, and I ended up with 2 angels and 26 ducks. I doubt that the difference in losses is critical on an 8xm8 map, considering my stats (16-30-16-13) and my opponent's stats (combat skills around 10, magic 6-8), especially since I already have full control.

Naturally, I tried to figure out why my opponent suddenly decided to leave. I looked at his recent moves. The player lost half of his 33 ducks in 2-3 days without gaining much. His last sequence was heading towards Pandora with 10-19 hydras, which he planned to defend with 15 ducks (his entire army consisted of 15 ducks and 1 angel). I strongly suspect that the motive for this unfair action lies in the outcome of attempting to take control of that area.

In conclusion, I agree with my opponent that I lost less "meat" in the second attempt, but this wasn't intentional; it happened because morale units unexpectedly appeared. Considering how late we were in the game (1.4.3) and the fact that I had better stats and control, I believe these losses are insignificant compared to Tim_'s weak position. I consider my opponent's actions as an example of unfair play, and his subsequent attempts to justify leaving while simultaneously discrediting me demonstrate unhealthy character traits.

I would appreciate it if baratorch could review this situation and decide whether or not to return the rating points I lost.

If necessary, I am ready to provide all save files.

P.S. This was the second consecutive game with Tim_. In the first match, I lost and gave up the points without question.

I can only recommend that this player read the rules of fair play in Heroes online.

If a "save game is lost," the player must repeat all actions as accurately as possible, just as they did the first time, including any army losses. If there are more units than necessary, the excess must be removed.

Instead of quitting mid-turn and then, a week later, asking to resume the game because their save was lost, they should stop yelling in all visible chats about how everyone else is cheating. I have proof, screenshots of the game chat, and save files in my PMs, if anyone needs them.

I can't even compare to your intellect. But at least you've decided on a reason for leaving – that's progress. Sorry, I couldn't replicate the exact sequence, and I'm not hiding it. Hey, there was a three-day lag, plus I was finishing the game late in the morning, and I hadn't slept. But why did you leave when you found out the replay wasn't exact? – the question remains open.

And you're lying, ugh, "showing off your intelligence" with minor details – there were at most three save files. It's not the first game, but the second.

You violated the rules, cheated with save files, redid moves, lied when caught red-handed, and couldn't communicate properly, only shouting incoherent things in all the chats. For me, that's a sufficient reason to simply leave the game. You've already dug your own grave. Keep going in the same direction.

I offered to sort things out ("you can't communicate properly" - well, well). I actually went through all the possible scenarios afterwards, where the save file could have gone. I even offered a truce – just say "gg" and I'll take back my words.

I'm repeating the question: why did you leave the game? I'll consider all versions, except for the one where you're a telepath, of course).
