And I didn’t get sick.
Where do we go?
Where do we end up when we save the world?

Wouldn't it be great to get a Windows update first thing in the morning that takes a couple of hours?

Don't forget to activate it.

You wrote about it, and I suddenly realized that after this update, this thing disappeared on its own. Oh well.

Only a fool would try to do or fix something; a wise person would simply wait a bit, and everything would resolve itself.
Where do we go?
Where do we end up when we save the world?

If Revan doesn't go for the activation, then the activation will come to Revan.

At work, on a licensed Windows 7, the updater complains that "It seems you have become a victim of software counterfeiting." And the wallpaper turned black. And why is that? Because tying license verification to the Internet in general is a bad idea, and setting up various proxies on the local network that filter everything according to an unclear algorithm (including connecting to Microsoft servers) is also not a good idea.

What's up? Decided to drop by Heroes of Might and Magic in between your life-farming sessions?
What life-farming are you talking about? I've got work and grass to tend to.
