If you look at it from my perspective as a player in a vacuum, this is the best moment in the expedition. Even losing Rogdan here isn't too bad. It's still unpleasant, though, the effect this has on the others in the end.

I'm judging overall, although I may have exaggerated a bit. Of course, not all members of the squad are like that (Rogdan's transgression wasn't a transgression at all), but there are enough people in "Griffon" who wouldn't look out of place in some kind of gang.

Well, yes, it turned out great from an RP perspective. And I, in general, am not upset by the current situation in the expedition. We're playing normally.

For all these crimes, we are now being made slaves and sent to atone for our guilt before the Empress with blood. In my opinion, this is not exactly a morally gray situation.

You shouldn't look at the reasons, but at the whole picture. We have an oppressive imperial government that engages in shady intrigues, plans genocidal conquests, and so on. And then there's the "Golden Gryphon," where all sorts of slave owners, rapists, and thugs maim people for no reason and are more than willing to take on contract killings or work for that same oppressive government, helping it to exterminate the natives. Leaving aside the rank-and-file members of the squad who are not even aware of these things, the guys are not very pleasant. I hope you won't argue with that. And these bad guys got caught by the first bad guys, even if not for the reasons described above. It's like, say, a hitman being hit by a drunk driver. The driver is wrong, but you wouldn't exactly feel sorry for the hitman. That's all.

There's such a thing as "presumption of innocence." And so far, we haven't done anything criminal, except for breaking a hand. We didn't even kill the orcish woman. Therefore, comparing an amphibian to a viper is incorrect.
