And so, another contract between a Summoner and a hero of the past was successfully concluded. This was probably the fastest and easiest summoning the trio of Summoners had ever witnessed.
“Everyone!”—Unlike Lian Fay and Sylphida, the third hero wasn't planning on leaving the spotlight just yet. “What are your names? I’m Meido, but you probably already know that,” the hero began to approach everyone present, greeting them in turn with a firm handshake. “After all, I am a famous figure in the history books.”
“Ahem... Matthew Ariston. Pleased to meet you, Mr. Meido.”
“Relax, Matt! I may have been great in life, but now I’m just a shadow of the past, so there’s no need to be afraid of me! And no need for all this ‘Mr.’ and the like, just be yourself.”
“Victor Frostshot,” the brunette replied, sounding somewhat lost and perhaps even shy, unsure how to behave in the presence of such a figure. “Uh, hi.”
“Ah, Vitёk, one of us!—Meido patted the Summoner on the head affectionately. “A kindred spirit, I can just feel it! And my intuition has never failed me, you know.”
“Glorious Kusifon.” The third member of the Summoners’ club introduced himself confidently, with a touch of pomposity.
“What are you, some kind of peacock, Glorik? We’re all equals here, aren’t we?”
“G-l-o-r-i-o-u-s. And no, I’m not sure that’s a very accurate observation, considering the fact that we’re from different planes of existence, at the very least.”
“That’s all trivial, Glorik, don’t think about such nonsense, or you’ll find that life passes by in a flash, and you won’t even notice.”
“Yuisis Lunaweit.” The ex-prince introduced himself amiably and with considerable confidence. “I think we’ll find common ground!”
“That’s what I’m talking about!” Meido clapped his hands. “That’s the spirit! Take an example from this wonderful person!” Finally, the hero of the past extended his hand to Cleone.
“Go away.” Her reply was a look full of contempt.
“A-ha-ha!” Meido laughed sincerely (?) and, deciding not to insist on an introduction, moved on to the next person, who turned out to be Rogdan Kraftmeyer.
