A brief biography of the Vampire race (as requested by eXeCuToR). I will refer to dates as events:
For a long time, Vampires faithfully served the Necromancers, who promised them eternal life and even the chance to regain their youth. The Necromancers delivered on this promise, but, as is often the case, one good turn deserves another. Vampires became mid-level soldiers, and those who gained experience became Higher Vampires. Among the Higher Vampires, Heroes emerged – undead counts and countesses who, in their lifetime, served as close advisors to the kings of various states, particularly the Griffin Empire and the League of Silver Cities. After the first four War of the Eclipse, where the Undead played the role of vultures, scavenging the corpses of the fallen and recruiting them through Necromancy, the Necromancers and their leader, Sandro, reached the peak of their power. Sandro left behind numerous successors, including Higher Vampires. After Sandro's death in the battle for the city of Mythgard, the Vampires realized that they were simply being used and that their peaceful future was not a priority. They took a desperate step: they created a secret cult (similar to the underground cult of Necromancy that once existed in the League), the Order of the Blood Sword. This Order gathered warriors and heroes who did not want to fight for the regular Undead army and created their own type of magic, which they called "Vampiric Sorcery." This magic was used for military purposes and, like Necromancy, involved resurrecting the dead in their own way. The Higher Vampires created several dozen secret training grounds, located in Eris, on the border with the Griffin Empire, and in the Canyon of the Living Buried. After the Fifth War of the Eclipse, after the death of King Alex, his wife Fiona came to power, and Sandro's best student, Markel, appeared. In the Griffin Empire, he was considered an important advisor to the queen, an astrologer, and a magician. No one suspected that such a respected man was a necromancer, but unfortunately, that was the truth. After Fiona's death, her brother, Godric, commander-in-chief of the Griffin army, and his nephew, Nicholas, the son of Alex and Fiona, decided to send Markel into exile for the murder of the queen, for studying Dark Arts, and for treason in the Canyon of the Living Buried. Alright... Here are possible alternate upgrades for the vampire race (a race that doesn't exist and never will) at the request of the same forum user.
The damage of the creatures will be the same as for other "grayed" ones. Only additional skills.

Level 1: Slave Craftsmen. They can repair broken machines and build a second selected machine once per battle if needed.
Level 2: Meat Eaters. Ability "Devouring of the Nearby" - This is an improved "Cannibalism," i.e., Meat Eaters can use it without spending a turn, but the ability also applies to living creatures and allies.
Level 3: Vampire Butlers. Immune to Chaos magic caused by the element of Ice. They can also grant any friendly creature the ability to attack with poison (apparently, instead of poison, it's stale soup or spit tea, sorry for the pun). They also have an interaction with the hero, i.e., if "Chain Lightning" hits the butlers, the lightning will deal more damage after them.
Level 4: Vampire Arbalesters. It's not hard to guess what they are armed with ;) , right? They have 30% of attacks (including melee) with critical damage (+20 hits each), and shots without penalties.
Level 5: Blood Sorceresses: Skill "Call of Darkness," i.e., a random Dark spell of any magic circle is cast on the selected creature (5% chance to cast "Unholy Word") and the ability to cast "Vampirism" on any ally.
Level 6: Corpse-Eating Dragons. They can feed on corpses and counterattack three times after their turn. They can be controlled until their 4th turn (apparently, they were made more obedient :) ) 10% chance to freeze when attacking an enemy.
Level 7: Princes of Darkness. Immune to Dark magic (and to "Holy Word"). They can reduce the initiative of any creature by 10% per hit.
