Good afternoon. Is "Heroes of Might and Magic IV" compatible with Windows 10? Has anyone tried playing it on this OS? If so, please let me know. Because nowadays, computers are sold exclusively with Windows 10...

I personally use Hryak; I tried Windows 7, but I didn't like it, and the game runs with some lag on it.

I'm currently playing HOMM4 on my computer, and the game keeps crashing during battles, either in the middle of them or when I click the checkmark after winning... it's really annoying, so I'm also looking for a solution to this problem... I'm tired of having to restart the game several times every half hour.

Minimize the game using the "Start" key, go to the task manager, find the heroes4.exe process - right-click - Set affinity - check only CPU 0.
Or, to automate this, open the game shortcut properties, in the Target field, add the following at the beginning:
cmd.exe /C start "Heroes4" /affinity 1 (SPACE) "C:/Heroes etc. (i.e., after the space, enter your game directory)
I also recommend a setting to eliminate all animation slowdowns:
Control Panel - NVIDIA - Adjust image scaling - Disable scaling and choose GPU instead of Display.
