Tournament Schedule.
August 8th – arrival, in the evening at 8:00 PM – Opening Banquet.
Each participant will individually handle the alcohol situation. There's a "Magnet" store in the nearby village, and local stores will be warned about the upcoming large-scale alcohol consumption. However, it might be worth buying something special in St. Petersburg.
August 9th – participant introductions and draw.
August 9th-13th – game days.
August 13th. After all the finals – awarding the winners, followed by a Dendroids Party.
August 14th – departure.
There are no strict time limits for arrival and departure at the moment, but early arrivals/late departures are unlikely to cause any major problems.

Due to the lack of a quorum, the SOD tournament is canceled (a small fun tournament is possible for those who want it and those who "drop out" early from the Hota tournament – we'll see on the spot).

Game version: Hota.

Maps: H3dm1, Jebus King 2.5, 6lm10a, Mini-Nostalgia, MT_Jebus

Standard map settings. Standard trading on all maps. Overtime and timers will be set closer to the start of the tournament, but the timer will not exceed the standard values. Additional announcements will be made regarding the versions of the JK and h3md maps.

Tournament format.

The tournament is designed for 32 players. (if there are more, there will be qualifying games for players with low ratings on the M200 or Jebus King 2.5 map).

Two stages of the tournament:

Group stage. 8 groups of 4 players, rating-based seeding. GSL system (this is how the FB tournament is currently held). 2 players advance from each group.
Playoffs. Single Elimination BO1 (no time for BO3) + match for 3rd place.
Schedule:

August 9th – draw, possible qualifying games, and round 1. Poker tournament (for sure).
August 10th. Rounds 2-3 of the group stage. By the morning of May 5th, the groups should be completed.
August 11th. Start of the playoffs. 1/8 and 1/4 (it will be a tough day).
August 12th. First game of 1/2, possible force majeure replays of 1/4. Second game of 1/2. Semifinal games will be played one after another on stream. If there is no technical possibility for streaming (just in case), this item will be revised.
August 13th. Final. Match for 3rd place. Awarding and closing of the tournament.

Now, let's talk about the actual gameplay in the halls.
There will be arguments, disputes, and dissatisfied players again, but the CIS tournament assumes that serious players with knowledge of the game gather and play independently, meaning they use their own minds. Also, everyone has six months to prepare and adjust certain aspects of the game.
These regulatory guidelines are based on the experience of all previous CIS tournaments and help prevent most possible tournament conflicts.
These are organizational requirements that each registrant (both players and spectators) accepts and agrees to comply with.
1. Game day: Draw at 10:30 AM, mandatory start time for round one is 11:00 AM (exception – August 9th: presentation and draw of participants at 11:00 AM, we begin playing as soon as the halls are technically ready).
2. Lateness for a round: from 6 to 30 minutes inclusive – minus one restart day. From 31 to 60 minutes inclusive – minus two restart days. More than 60 minutes – technical defeat. Being late for a round means the player is not in the gaming hall at the time the round starts without prior notification to the opponent and judges (if the player was already in the hall but went to the restroom and then quickly returned – the lateness rule does not apply). The absence of both players and information about them will be treated similarly by the judges.
3. Opponents may agree to start the game later; they must inform the judges before 11:00 AM on the game day.
4. Breakfast from 9:00 AM.
Lunch break depends directly on the number of participants because there is a possibility that we will eat in two shifts, but usually from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM; I believe everyone will have enough time to eat.
Dinner – accordingly, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
5. Matches are played until victory – meaning that by the time of the draw for the next round, the results of each playing pair must be provided to the judges.
6. Compliance with the Rules of Fair Play and respectful attitude towards each other is mandatory for everyone, including players and spectators.
7. All personal disputes and conflicts unrelated to the tournament should take place outside the gaming halls, preferably beyond the base perimeter (and even better if there were none at all). Possible tournament conflicts are resolved with the involvement of judges and the organizing committee in a correct manner.
8. We remind you that leaving your computer AFK without warning your opponent is impolite. Long absence without notifying the opponent and/or artificially delaying pressing the "end turn" button constitutes a violation and will be determined at the discretion of the judges after an objection has been filed by the opponent. Sanctions range from a warning to a technical defeat in the match.
9. Refusal to continue the match and acknowledging defeat (GG) must be justified and based either on objective data from the specific game situation or if the player is forced to leave the base, i.e., withdraws from the tournament and leaves. In all other cases, such surrender cannot be considered legitimate, and the results of the match will be annulled. That is, both opponents will receive a loss. Translated into plain language – it is not possible to buy yourself a victory in a losing match.
10. The use of any noise-generating activities unrelated to Heroes is prohibited in the gaming zone during gameplay: poker, drinking games, blackjack, etc. Music, if desired, should be listened to through headphones so as not to disturb other players.
11. As part of respecting the opponent, spamming and flooding the game chat during their turn are not allowed.
12. The presence of outsiders in the CIS halls is permitted only with the agreement of the Organizing Committee.
13. The use of any third-party programs that are not integrated into the corresponding version and mod of the game, which affect the game code or the decisions made during the game, is prohibited in tournament matches: this includes, among other things, damage/defense calculators, the use of any screenshots/copies of unfinished games, simulating game situations using an editor, watching videos of Heroic battles and standard fights, simultaneously loading saves of an unfinished match (you can use Fizmig, the Manuals of HotA, template schemes, a regular calculator, abacus, paper, and pen).
This point is the most sensitive – but by default, the wording is exactly like this. Each pair of players can play according to any agreements they make between themselves. In case of disagreements between players, judges will base their decisions solely on the rules of fair and respectful play.
14. Watching videos, provided there is an agreement between the players, cannot be used through a shared internet connection in the hall.
Online music should also not be listened to through a shared internet connection.
15. Judges have the right at any time to remove any spectator from the hall if the spectator violates the established rules of conduct. Spectators and players must not disturb other players, give them hints, and must obey the decisions of the judges.
16. Each player has the right to file a reasoned protest with the judges (on a specific point of the rules) regarding the result of the game or violation of the rules by the opponent no later than one hour after the occurrence of the disputed circumstance (exception – "match-fixing," which is investigated upon receipt of information); if necessary, the game may be suspended until a decision is made.
17. When making decisions, judges are guided by the Tournament Regulations, the Rules of Fair and Respectful Play, the Rules of the corresponding bracket, as well as the degree of consequences of a particular violation.
In any case, the decisions of the judges are final and not subject to appeal.

Tournament coverage.
We are currently working on a technical solution to minimize the load on the internet channel.
For now, considering the statistically expected internet speed (we usually divide the base's promises by at least two), the picture is as follows.
The internet will hypothetically be divided into two streams: the first goes to the halls for games through the lobby, and the second goes to the "control panel," where images from the screens of participants are captured locally, and then transmitted via the internet for live streaming of central matches of the day (one match from SoD and one match from HotA will be covered in detail; either simultaneously on the same stream or we can add another one – this will become clear closer to the event).
Using personal internet connections from Yota and other wireless providers, based on coverage areas, is unreliable and risky: 4G, according to the same Yota map, is generally absent there; only 2G and 3G are present – and even then, it’s unclear what kind of connection it will be: after all, these are lands outside the settlement (as a result, you can “pay three thousand” and get nothing in return).
