New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
Hey everyone! I've created a petition asking Ubisoft and DotEmu to resume support for Heroes of Might and Magic III HD. I would really like the game to have all its bugs fixed and be made available for Mac OS, iOS, and Android. If you also want your favorite game to be with you everywhere, please support the petition. Just sign it and share it with your friends and acquaintances, etc. I would be very grateful to everyone!

I signed because my son sometimes plays, and he really needs a version for iOS/MacOS!
Nobody plays the Ubisoft version, and no one will support such a product in principle! :smile15:
But that's not the right approach. I wouldn't handle the situation that way. It's more constructive to support and strive for improvement than to criticize. Of course, the old version turned out to be better. We have an HD mod. But the new version was intended to be an improved version of the old one. But the developers messed it up, unfortunately. Don't you want this game to be a masterpiece? I think such an idea should interest every fan of Heroes 3.
We already have an HD mod that everyone plays (including on Mac). It has a very user-friendly interface, all bugs have been fixed, there's an in-game lobby, and simultaneous turns!!! And Ubisoft simply decided to make money off the "Heroes" brand by simply reworking the "The Restoration of Erathia" version with all its bugs, plus adding their own bugs. What was the point of reworking specifically "Erathia," why not "The Shadow of Death," for example? They don't care about the players or their opinions. Ubisoft doesn't want to improve their version; they just want to port the same buggy version to other platforms and that's it! :smile35: Sorry, but it's just a slap in the face to the players!
I completely understand your pain. But they have already taken this step. And I think it would be good to encourage them to complete this path: it is important not just to do something haphazardly, but since they have started, they should bring it to an adequate state so that we can use it without any difficulties. After all, the money has already been paid.
P.S. Can you tell me how to run the game on a Mac?
No, and again, no. There won't be anything like that. There will be another "remaster" and an attempt to make money off of what already exists. That's why I don't just not care, I'm actually against it. If there was a petition to sign against it, I would.
I don't have a Mac, but my friends play it, that's for sure. Through some kind of emulator... you can probably find it on Google.
Thank you. Just knowing your opinion is "against" it is enough. Besides, no one is stopping you from playing the original version, and it's unlikely that the release of a new version would somehow take away that opportunity.
Ubisoft is unlikely to revive the franchise. A year ago, a former NWC employee gave them the source code for the complete version of Heroes 3. https://twitter.com/DiskBlitz/status/920801845349466113 And what was the result? Nothing! It's better to support this initiative; high-quality remakes can only come from Nordic Games.
