They are protected by the ringing of bells, garlic, iron, and cemetery (that is, consecrated) earth.
In Western Europe, vampire stories became fashionable in the Gothic novel of the 18th century, and then among the Romantics. The story of a friend of J. Byron, V. Polidori, "The Vampire," was especially popular. In Romania and Hungary, beliefs about vampires were influenced by legends about Dracula, as well as about the crimes of real people, primarily Countess Bathory (17th century), who killed several dozen (possibly hundreds) peasant girls in order to rejuvenate herself with their blood. After the appearance of B. Stoker's novel "Dracula," both images firmly merged into one in mass European culture.

Well, I'm not saying that the entire vampire race will consist of vampires))) On the last level, you can put a Vampire-Dragon, and a werewolf on some other level. On the first level, you can put half-vampires. And vampires are not undead; there are half-breeds who are humans and have vampire powers.

I agree that vampires are not undead, but I disagree that they are not half-bloods. Vampires are a step above humans. They are, so to speak, an improved model. Improved to survive in a harsh world.

I'm not saying that all vampires are half-bloods; I'm saying that there are some who haven't fully become vampires, they are half-human, half-vampire, and that's what makes them half-bloods.
