they should be equally powerful... not race-specific) and vampires are just one type of undead)
elves also have unicorns and other creatures, but they are not elves)) the same goes for undead) vampires, liches, zombies) because a gnome or an elf can become a lich or a vampire, and they are no longer considered what they were in life) now they are dead and belong to the undead.
I'm not saying that the entire vampire race will consist of vampires. You can add a Vampire-Dragon to the last level, and a werewolf to some other level. You can also add half-vampires to the first level. And vampires aren't undead; there are half-breeds who are humans and possess vampire powers.

That would look a bit ridiculous. There's Necropolis, and then there are units that are called the same thing as vampires (from Necropolis), but they're alive. So, is that what you mean? Vampires aren't a race, unlike humans or elves. It's the same as making a race of lizard riders.

A VAMPIRE, in the lower mythology of European peoples, is a dead person who sucks the blood of living people. They can appear in the form of a bat, and sometimes other "unclean" animals. Beliefs about vampires are especially common among Slavs and other peoples of Southern Europe. They partly originate from the ancient Hecate, empusas, and lamias. In Christian beliefs, vampires are unrepentant sinners, suicides, and those who died prematurely without repentance. A person who died from its bite can also become a vampire. In the beliefs of the South Slavs, vampires prefer to suck the blood of their relatives. According to beliefs common in Great Russia, vampires, like werewolves, do not touch those who set out on a journey against their will. It was believed that by opening the grave of a vampire, one could see that its corpse looked fresh and rosy. In Slavic beliefs, vampires are dealt with by driving an aspen stake into their heart, and also by shooting them with a charmed silver bullet. They are protected by the ringing of bells, garlic, iron, and cemetery (that is, consecrated) earth. In Western Europe, vampire stories became fashionable in the Gothic novel of the 18th century, and then among the Romantics. The story of a friend of J. Byron, V. Polidori, "The Vampire," was especially popular. In Romania and Hungary, beliefs about vampires were influenced by legends about Dracula, as well as about the crimes of real people, primarily Countess Bathory (17th century), who killed several dozen (possibly hundreds) peasant girls in order to rejuvenate herself with their blood. After the appearance of B. Stoker's novel "Dracula," both images firmly merged into one in mass European culture.
I've read this somewhere before... it's repetitive...

all these creatures should not differ much from each other... but there should also be levels) just a vampire or an ancient one, etc. (Disciples)) or different, like in Blood Masquerade... I don't remember the name, vampires something there)... they should be stronger than an ordinary person, but not invincible)
P.S. these are the same creatures as elves, dwarves, etc.) almost))
I agree  completely with you

Well, dwarves have big, chubby bodybuilders))) They are strong, like the Jarls on level 6. Elves have druids, they were put on level 4, it could have been higher, because druids can also be different. I'm not saying that all vampires are weak))) I'm not saying that they are invincible, although there are some... but there are only a few of them, I'm saying that in the game they were treated poorly by putting them on the fourth level, and I won't even talk about the Specters...
Regarding ghosts, they were placed correctly, but they should be immune to physical damage. And I also like vampires, but I think they are in the right place
Dear players, the issue is that you are not playing a game based on European mythology, but rather Heroes of Might and Magic V. In that game, there are explanations about what a vampire is. And removing them from the Necropolis castle, when they are essentially Necromancers themselves, is simply absurd.

What nonsense is this? There is no vampire race, and there won't be. And a race of mages is a real possibility.
I already know that it won't happen))) It's just my opinion that it should be, and that's all))) And regarding the mages, someone pointed out correctly that it already exists, and there really isn't anything to change there, because the race turned out to be quite good)))

A race of mages? ...hmm, and who would be in it? All the mages from other races??? If it exists, then it's a big mistake, just like creating a vampire race.

I agree that vampires are not undead, but that they are half-breeds is not true. Vampires are a step above humans. An improved model, so to speak. Improved to survive in a harsh world.
I agree that vampires are not undead, but I disagree that they are not half-bloods. Vampires are a step above humans. They are, so to speak, an improved model. Improved to survive in a harsh world.
I'm not saying that all vampires are half-bloods, I'm saying that there are some who haven't fully become vampires, they are half-human, half-vampire, and those are the half-bloods.

We seem to have strayed from the topic of half-bloods. I've already mentioned that there are 3 types of vampires.
Elves, in all mythologies, are a highly developed race with its own hierarchy and state structure. The same applies to dwarves. Vampires... in the game, they are only found in Necropolises and live there... Although, let's be logical. Vampires in Heroes 5 are necromancers who are essentially suicidal. Right? Whose castle is the Necropolis? Necromancers'. Therefore, the Necropolis is the castle of vampires!)) And to come up with a castle for just necromancer-suicides... Doesn't that sound absurd to you?! There's no point in talking about other games, since we're playing Heroes 5. Although in other games or movies, etc., vampires usually don't have any kind of state, only a relatively small society.

I completely agree with eXeCuToR! The Vampire race is utter nonsense! In my opinion, someone just watched "War of the Worlds" too many times, where vampires are a race just like werewolves!
