The War of the Wizards 3 tournament is officially open.
Winners of previous tournaments:
"War of the Wizards" - Maretti
"War of the Wizards 2" - FireToSky
The "Battle of Mages" option introduces the following changes to the game:
1) Only a mage can be chosen as the starting hero;
2) A random starting hero will only be a mage;
3) Warrior heroes cannot level up beyond level 5;
4) There are no warrior heroes above level 5 in prisons;
5) Red Orb and Cloak of Displacement are banned.
Organizational matters:
1. Head referee - Sanin (ICQ 423164784), Judges: Amiloo (ICQ 388281368), caliban (ICQ 652476348), FireToSky (ICQ 414574626).
2. The tournament is held according to Rules for organizing, conducting, and participating in online HOMM3 tournaments.
3. The regulations and rules of the tournament will not be changed after registration ends during the tournament.
4. All games of the tournament count towards the player rating on HoMM3 HW.
5. Technical results will be awarded in matches that are not played within the specified time frame.
6. Saves and files with passwords for all matches must be saved until the end of the tournament and presented upon request by the head referee and judges or any member of the Arbitration Committee (AC). Forgetting or losing the game password may serve as grounds for a technical defeat in the match.
7. Please discuss controversial issues outside the forum if they arise. To resolve them, contact the head referee or judge of the tournament via private message on the forum or ICQ and provide daily saves, logs, and other necessary information.
The referees' decision is made primarily based on the rules of the tournament. If the situation is not covered by the rules, the judges will rely on basic logic and gaming ethics.
Requirements for participants:
- Players with unconfirmed reports will not be accepted into the tournament.
- Applications from players who have recently registered on the forum will be considered individually.
- The organizers reserve the right to refuse registration for the tournament to players who have disciplinary violations (disqualifications, removals from tournaments, non-confirmation of tournament reports, etc.).
Rules.
1. Game version. The tournament is held on version СОД 3.2(4.0) + HD mod (the latest current version).
Before starting the game, enable the following options:
- "Battle of Mages" option;
- standard bans for objects: cartographers, keyholder tents;
- restructuring of the Guild of Mages;
- restructuring of the library is not used by default. By agreement, you can play with the restructured library enabled.
2. The tournament is held according to rules for online games in Heroes 3.
3. List of templates: 2SM4d(3), h3dm1, Diamond, Jebus Cross, Mirror Jebus Cross, 6lm10a, Spider, 8xm12a, 8xm8a.
4. Template selection is done using a standard method. The loser flips a coin to start the process.
5. City selection is determined by trading from a pair of random cities. If two identical castles are generated, they must be regenerated.
On mirrored templates, the city is determined by a randomizer before the game, followed by a trade for the hero. All mage heroes are allowed; there are no bans.
Each player has the right to regenerate the pair of cities (on mirrors - one city) once at their own request, paying 500 coins to their opponent. At the same time, the player who pays 500 gold may impose a ban on generating one of the cities.
6. Color choice is determined by bidding. Red rush is allowed on all templates.
7. Restarts total 3 days (111+111+111 or 111+112 or 113). When playing on mirrored templates, restarts are 111.
8. Road settings:
2SM4d(3) - all roads;
h3dm1, Diamond, 6lm10a, Spider, 8xm12a, 8xm8a - medium roads;
Jebus Cross, Mirror Jebus Cross - fast roads.
Tournament format.
1. Registration from February 17th to March 1st, 2019.
2. The start of tournament games is March 2nd, 2019.
3. The tournament includes a group stage and a single-elimination playoff system. In the group stage, two weeks are given for one game; in the playoffs, four weeks are given for a bo3 series, and eight weeks are given for the final bo5.
4. Within the time frame of each round, it is necessary to provide a report on the completed game in the tournament topic for accounting purposes. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in either a technical result or a score of 0-0 being awarded in the matches.
5. In the group stage, 3 points are awarded for winning a game, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.
Places are determined based on the number of points scored.
In case of a tie in points, additional criteria apply in order of priority:
1) Head-to-head;
2) Berger coefficient;
3) If it is impossible to prioritize according to additional criteria between players, a tiebreaker match is played on the skirmish m-200 template (the "Battle of Mages" option remains in effect).
Prizes and OХ.
Prizes: The winner of the tournament receives the status of "dad" in the online lobby for one year, as well as a place in FB-13 (if at least 64 participants register for the tournament).
Since one of the prizes is a paid year in the lobby, OХ will be mandatory by default in all playoff games.
The required OХ time:
115 - for 2SM4d(3)
116 - for Diamond, 6lm10a, Spider, 8xm12a, 8xm8a
117 - for Jebus Cross, Mirror Jebus Cross, h3dm1
By mutual agreement, it is not forbidden to play without OХ in the playoffs; playing with OХ in the group stage is also welcome. Refusal to play with OХ in the playoff stage may be grounds for receiving a technical defeat.
Come on, friends! It's time to find out who the coolest mage is in 2019 :cool:
