Sacred Haven of Debauchery Auto-translated

I don't have my own thread-repository, so here it is. It's too long for perfectly wise quotes.

Does he have syphilis?

It's a computer that got tired of wasting graphonium on maintaining a human facade. That's why, at the beginning, it talks about "digitalizing life."

That’s exactly what Reven was talking about in his thread, and I have the same experience. On one layer, I’ve already applied the full paint job, with highlights, shadows, and everything else. On the other, I’ve just filled it with a flat color. In general, the layer with the shadows does most of the work; the other layers just complement the overall picture, and the shadows determine a large part of the volume and effect.

Something similar happens in my room and on my desk.

Okay. I have noticeably fewer layers, but I'm lazy and try to save on them, plus I often clean up and merge layers during the sketching process. What scares me more are the people who manage to draw in a single layer.

I think it's about confidence and maybe just habits. Besides layers, I also have another theme installed.

A person who is used to saving every 5 minutes in separate slots:

This is all one file that is saved separately throughout the entire process "just in case." But this is actually silly and unnecessary, and these files are unlikely to become corrupted like saves.

That's also helpful. I, on the other hand, constantly forget to save, and I once lost half a day's worth of work that way.

Also, continuing the creative theme. I drew a picture for a comic book group on VKontakte for Cat Day, and I got carried away, coloring a couple more sketches BECAUSE I CAN. It turned out a little… questionable, maybe, but it’s good enough.jpg.

I remember once (about eight or nine years ago) losing a large post that I was writing on the forums because I closed the tab or the browser crashed. Since then, I periodically save text in Notepad, although, ironically, browsers have improved since then and now automatically save the content of closed pages, so the habit, while still present, is no longer as useful.

At work, I have an auto-backup feature set up in one of the programs I use. Considering that the program tends to occasionally freeze and crash, it's a useful feature. But at home, I don't bother with that; I usually just keep 3-4 versions of a file in different formats at different stages. For example, for my current project. In one program, I draw the page itself, in another, I set the color palette, add text, and create special effects, and then I upload the PNGs to ArtStation, VKontakte, and other places. I also have JPEG scans of sketches from the very early stages, but they're in a separate folder.
And yes, just a reminder xD

I think Reven meant that piece of scenery in the background.
