If you're talking about the Barong, some jokers on the internet have hyped this new amulet as the best card, and that's why everyone is using it in both game modes with all decks, even though the card is mediocre. However, there's an indirect benefit to it in unranked matches – they say it disrupts the game, thereby reducing the number of annoying players. But within the context of a deck, this nuance doesn't contribute to winning.

You can organize a tournament in Hearthstone with a brawl format, which was done before. The downsides are that not every week has a brawl mode where you don't need cards; sometimes you have to build a deck. And until the day the brawl opens, no one knows what the mode will be that week.

Well... It will be quite difficult to manage within seven days, and playing in different modes isn't very appealing.

Qualified for Group A, 4-1, thanks to Darya. Who would have thought that this deck is still good. Opponents were Deceit, Roach, and three Mid-tier decks, one of which I lost against. Honestly, not much has changed in half a year, except for a few new cards.

Dashka now has +3 cards with Storm. Depending on the draw, I sometimes finished the game on turns 5-6 just by playing cards from my hand, without drawing a single Daria during the game.

Final stage – and again, it’s Dasha. Wins – aggro-vampire, DFB-vampire, mid-shadow, and mirror match; loss against an overly aggressive sword deck. Yes, thanks to the zealots, the deck has become faster, more stable, and even less dependent on drawing Dasha. Although in this meta, I still drew her in almost every game, unlike before. There was a funny game against shadow: I get Dasha, 2 chimeras, a zealot, and an ogler in my starting hand, and I think – that’s it, game over. But then, good cards started to topdeck – in the end, on turn 6, I play all this stuff, clear the opponent’s full board at the same time, and he concedes. And I tried mid-shadow myself – it’s not working out, 2-3. But I liked how the shadow deck works. It only needs 2 cards that it lacks in the current rotation – decent finishers, an archer, and Aegis. And there’s no need for any voodoo with deer, Marvin, knights, and 20-turn games. Oh, and Themis Decree, of course. By the way, I was slow and only realized after 2 years of playing that it’s Themis, haha.

But this is not the final stage.

Well, I mean, I qualified for the final, and I wanted to write a short post about it.

Looks like I'm getting hit by that curse again, the one I call "I don't care that your deck has a 95% win rate, you still won't make it to the finals."

I cleared both stages with Seraph, twice achieving a 4-1 score. Finally, I used this card, one of my first legendary cards, which had been gathering dust for over two years... And now I wanted to try something "new," so I completed the crafting and saw how it would perform. And, judging by the results, it performs quite well, especially now when the meta is flooded with Daria, against whom Themis is an all-powerful counter. Twice, I simply drove Daria players to deck-out.

The decisive match in the last game turned out to be truly absurd - I was second in a mirror match, so I thought, "Well, that's it, I won't qualify now, the RNG has screwed me over." Both of us played Seraph on turn 8, but even though I destroyed his Seraph with Blade and his golden city, I still didn't really expect that he wouldn't suddenly have enough activators.



And then his turn simply broke all records. What do you think he did?



He discounted my Seraph and played his own... It was so kind of him :D I haven't laughed so much at an opponent's actions in a long time! ))
In general, it's amazing, of course, because Seraph is not a very difficult deck to master, and yet there are still players who do things like this.

Throwing Seraph into the Frostbite arena with a Beastcall aria is a classic move, what are you talking about? It's been around since 2017. And Marvin, who reduces the countdown timer. Something similar almost happened to me, during a rotation, actually. But in the unlimited mode, I don't have Seraph. There, the old version is used, and I only have one of him, but I have three new ones, and it's not certain that they are interchangeable.

I initially had one Lapis in my deck, but I ended up removing it. They are interchangeable in the sense that it won't break the deck and will maintain the win condition of discounting the Seraph, but overall, Lapis is significantly worse in almost any situation. Also, the Seraph summoned by it is not discounted by the Golden City, which is another drawback.

Yeah, I also think that a simple Seraph is more playable in an anime setting. Although, theoretically, Lapis has advantages over him – she doesn't lose tempo (if she has evolution remaining), and it's more difficult to play around her; almost no one uses her transformation, and she can be a threat if banished.

And if I complete a game without losing, does that count as a strong deck?

Graz, I didn't even dare to go near the portal. And what were the opponents like?

I made it to the final, also playing with Daria, and played 1-2. I lost in a mirror match and against a Holy Mage (the first one I encountered in all the Grand Prix). Although it would be more accurate to say that I didn't lose to the mage (the mage went for a trade), but to the birds from the amulets: shortly after Daria, I got this hand, after which I was quickly pecked to death.
