Of course, I won't say that I'm happy about Alesha leaving the forum. But I won't be upset about it either. Nothing bad happened to him. He didn't get sick, he didn't go to jail, and nothing worse happened to him. He simply realized that he shouldn't spend too much time on the forum. There are more important things in life. What is the purpose of this forum? Only to get information about the "Heroes of Might and Magic" game series, and nothing more. He is not the creator of the site, he is not its administrator - so why spend more time here than is needed to get the information you need?
It's a different matter if there was some activity that could be of interest and could be realized in some (near or distant) perspective. But there isn't. Such an activity could be the creation of an amphibian race (what else could I give as an example?), but the path from theory to practice turned out to be very long (if not infinite). And life is not eternal. And it is very difficult to go towards a goal if there is almost no hope that it can be achieved. In theory, we have thought out the race very well (from my point of view), but none of us can implement it. I haven't studied 3ds max enough to create characters (in general, due to being busy at work, this process has been stalled for more than two months), and there were no programmers at all....
In general... I understand Alesha and support him. But I really hope that he will still drop by here, and I believe (yes, I believe!) that the amphibian race and the third level of the map will appear in the game with our participation or (more likely) without it.

Good luck, Alexey! It's a pity that you're leaving, although, of course, it's your decision. However, you haven't completely abandoned the project yet ;) (see our conversation on ICQ). IMHO, ***JOKER*** did the right thing!
Since he hasn't been on the forum for a long time, and he knows that he won't have time to visit the forum in the near future, stepping down from his responsibilities is the right and fair decision! If he returns later and asks to have his responsibilities restored, they can be given back to him!

Since the thread about recruiting moderators has been closed, I would like to offer my candidacy for the position of deputy to Alexey Pank while he is away from the portal. Moreover, he agrees with this (see my last post in the closed thread about recruiting moderators). That is, I propose that I be appointed not as another moderator, but as a replacement for the one who is leaving.
