Well, I started watching it expecting a teen comedy, so I wasn't expecting anything amazing. And in that regard, it was fine. But yeah, it was a bit more engaging at the beginning.

Shaman King

Well, relatively.

I remember in middle school, they would open the entrance doors at a certain time. But some people would come earlier to hang out before classes started. At that time, they were showing "King of Shamans" on Fox Kids/Jetix, and we would discuss the latest episode every morning. It was great. It was a really good time. To feel good, all you had to do was watch some nonsense on TV and discuss it with your classmates.
Oh, here comes old man grumpy again...

And I deliberately showed up late for the first lesson and left after the second to go home and play computer games.

...and I, Prostrassilon, was discussing "My Fair Nanny" with my classmates...

I deliberately showed up late for the first lesson and left after the second to go home and play computer games.

I bet you also thought your classmates were stupid and considered yourself an elite?

...and I, excuse me, discussed "My Fair Nanny" with my classmates...

We also discussed it, but not as actively. We discussed "Cadets" very actively. But I thought the series was complete garbage and didn't participate in the discussions.

I bet he also thought his classmates were stupid and uncultured, while considering himself an elite.

Why are you talking about it in the past tense? I still think that way.

By the way, have you ever been invited to a class reunion? I was invited about 5 years ago. Of course, I declined.

He refused, of course.

Why?

There's nothing to discuss with these lowlifes. Besides, as one insider later told me, they all just got drunk.

What negative impressions do you have of your classmates?

Attack on Titan: Junior High

I heard about this parody and decided to give it a try. I didn't regret it.
+ It's very funny. They parodied the original opening, and the music and voice actors were also carried over from the original. They made fun of everything, from the over-the-top drama to the characters and dialogue (some of the most dramatic lines are exactly the same, set to the exact same music), and even the scenes and plot points – they really went all out. They also added their own jokes. Almost nothing of the original's heaviness, darkness, and drama remains; the cartoon is very light and cheerful. I even felt a little happy for the characters, who can at least live as normal people somewhere. There's no OOC (out-of-character) behavior; everyone is recognizable, and some are even directly from the original, with nothing changed about them.
- I've already forgotten half of the first season, some of the scenes, dialogue, and characters – so I might have missed some of the jokes. There are quite a few characters, and unlike the original, no one dies or fades away, and I don't really like it when there are a lot of people. The humor is very specific; to find it funny, you really need to know the original.
= 9/10, I laughed like a pack of hyenas. If you've watched the original "Attack on Titan," I recommend watching this parody just for laughs. If you haven't watched the original, you should watch it first, and then come back to this masterpiece.

"Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood"
I started watching it after revisiting the old series, then I read some reviews and listened to Kosha, and decided to give the new one a try. The first few episodes of the new series seemed quite trashy compared to the old one ("Why should we make something well when we already made it well before? Let's just do a quick and dirty job, everyone already knows the plot," -- bones), but then... Then the intricate plot, unexpected moments, stories, and feelings of the characters became so good that I don't even want to lower the overall rating for the "flaws" that were present at the beginning, as I usually do. So I won't.
10/10

Yes, the first few episodes are a bit sad, but the main thing is not to give up too early, as I almost did. Around episodes 5 to 10, things start to pick up.
