Hello everyone. Please help a newbie. Can anyone tell me exactly how to play Heroes 5 (version 1.0) on one computer with two players in an alliance against one computer opponent?
1. If I need to download a map editor, please tell me exactly where I can download it and how large the file is.
2. Are there any ready-made maps available online where I can download them? I downloaded some from a website, but some of them crash, and on others, only the computers in the alliance play, but the players are still against each other. Thank you in advance.
P.S. I know that if I install a patch, this option will definitely be available, but unfortunately, I can't download the patch because I have a modem.

In version 1.0, alliances are only possible on maps where they already exist, and there are very few maps for this version that support alliances. You can only set up alliances manually in the editor, which appears in patch 1.3. But it's better to install versions 1.4 and 1.5.

You can find the patches on the discs of computer magazines or from friends. Alternatively, you can go to an internet cafe, rent a computer for 30 minutes, download everything, and copy it to a CD/USB drive. If you really want to, you'll find a way.

Another option is to purchase the expansion pack, which includes an editor and more maps.

I suggest editing any map you like in the map editor, or searching for one on the internet! :cool: :cool: :cool:

Search the internet for the map "Unequal Conditions"; it has three players, two of whom are in an alliance. Author: Ogo
Or better yet, look for the map collection ogo_maps; that map is also in it. ;)

Or, in version 1.0, is there a map where the game is played 2v2v2? You can simply block three computers, and you'll end up with a 2v1 situation.

I have the original "Silver Edition" of Heroes 5 with the Hammers of Fate expansion, the director's cut, and "about" 10 maps from the developers, commemorating the game's tenth anniversary. It was convenient in Heroes 3; you could specify which factions should be included and which shouldn't, but now I'm struggling with the fifth game.
