Knights are cute boys, idols are boring generic girls. We don't need "tyan" (with rare exceptions).

Knights exist to protect people. Idols exist as yet another way for companies to extract hard-earned money from people.

Knights are funded by taxpayers' money as yet another way for the state not only to drain people of their hard-earned money but also to oppress them in every possible way. And if they protect anyone, it's only the interests of their lord or their own wallets and pride. Idols, on the other hand, uplift people's spirits and please the eye with their music, without forcing people to spend money on their art if they don't like it.
