Just now, I was playing as Humans, and 7 Paladins, with a speed boost, took down a unit with 2200 HP... and the hero was specialized in Paladins... this was without any luck, considering their decent initiative and the fact that they can move across the entire battlefield... lol.
Another important feature of Haven is the ability to acquire very useful skills. With their help, you can increase the growth rate of creatures in the castle, reduce the cost of troops, and so on. Yes, Humans are one of the best factions in Heroes V!!!

I've always played as Humans in all the previous Heroes games, but I won't in the fifth one. Maybe the faction is strong, but the cross-dressing units at level 7 don't appeal to me! I'll have to switch to the Elves, who are closest to them in spirit.

So what! You can play without angels at all; personally, I don't buy them at all; they just don't pay off! Cavaliers are the way out of this situation!
Seriously, what's going on? Have you completely lost it, calling angels transvestites? Let me explain why I personally find the angel appealing. Take a look:
In foreign advertisements and movies, there's a certain stereotype of a kind doctor – a woman in a white coat, with short, light hair, a kind and caring person. The angel is drawn in a similar way. If in the third Heroes game, archangels looked more like attacking units (muscular, massive bodies, the Sword of Justice in their hands, strong wings), and in the fourth game they were somewhat vague, then in the fifth game, I think they resemble healers and resurrection units more. That's how it is =)
Besides, I simply don't have time to build cavalry or even angels because I complete maps much faster than they can be built:D :D :D
There's a great spell for this (thank you, developers!!!) – Summon creatures. While you're gathering resources, you can defend yourself, and then bring the creatures over to your side.

Yeah. And you don't have to run back and forth to the castle for your army over and over again!!! Nival, you're awesome!
