Shadowverse

Hmm, will the tournament take off now?

And now?

I might have played it in tier 2.

Ugh, tier 2.

The only element of the game that I have fond memories of.

I'm still up for playing, whether it's Tier 2 or Constructed. But I don't think the number of people interested has changed much since the Chronogenesis era.

If you're going to play, only play Tier 2.

No, anything but T2, it's a terrible mode, what do you all like about it so much? T_T

The only fun mode in the game. And there are no unfair advantages in the form of vials. Only luck matters.

Yeah, it's really fun to lose five games in a row with a bad deck, where you get crushed by almost meta-perfect builds. And it's also so engaging to choose between two options, especially in classes that are designed around synergy.

The fact that you don't have to farm for an entire month in absolutely unfun and broken ranked matches, as if you had the plague?

Yeah, it's really fun to play five games with a terrible deck where you get stomped by almost meta-perfect solutions. And it's also so interesting to choose between two options, especially in classes tailored for synergy.

We used to do that in tournaments, where we would assemble a deck for each match, which significantly reduces the randomness. Although it doesn't eliminate it completely, of course. But the randomness in five casual games is much better than the long and agonizing suffering from randomness in an attempt to draw the next card to assemble a decent deck, so that you can actually play.

I prefer to build a decent deck myself and know how everything works, rather than relying on random chance. And why farm? I'm a free-to-play player, and I don't complete dailies every day. I can't afford to watch all the cool memes on YouTube, of course, but I have almost optimal or even perfectly assembled decks for all classes, including Knight Sword and Knight Haven (not all legendaries are in a full set, but it's still quite playable). The thing is, some classes are better in rotation, while with others, you can only get something going in unlimited mode.

Isn't it annoying to have to farm for an entire month in completely broken and un-fun ranked matches just for something you don't even need, as if you had the plague?

Come on, I've only logged into Heroes of Might and Magic for daily bonuses about half the time in the past year and a half. Nevertheless, I can assemble a more or less playable rotating deck for each faction, except for Haven, perhaps. And if I grind a bit of animated cards and unplayable legendaries, I can even do it for Haven. And if I disenchant unlimited cards, I can swim in vials. (Yes, I came from Heroes of Might and Magic, so it doesn't seem so blasphemous to me. Although even there, I keep most of the rotating cards).

And it's so fascinating to choose between two options, especially in classes tailored for synergy.

Come on, I thought the days of "classes tailored for synergy" were long gone, and now you can play and win with any faction. Although in the new expansion, I only played one arena, so I might be wrong.
What I definitely don't want to play is "build a deck for a friend" (even though I won in that mode, lol).

There are still remnants of the neutralcraft era, although there aren't many left. The Dragon is building synergy with itself. Forest and Rune are a bit better now, but they still perform better in Construct. Blood has synergy on two fronts – self-damage and mice. And all of this costs gold and requires legendary units.

I've more or less assembled a Haven valet, and I've even won a couple of times. I only have one Snow Queen, so I added Serpent Riders and Vanguard, and they perform well, although the Snow Queen is better. It would be good to craft more Lane and Knight units, as I only have two of each. And I don't have Aegis, but he's already used as a backup, so I can live without him.
I enjoy playing with the Valet Sword more; it requires more legendary units, but I also have more full sets – Mars, Gawain, and the rest are there in small numbers, plus a lot of good stuff, so overall, it's a decent build.
I want a spellboost rune; I need to craft Runek.
