In a general army, the Archangel is better, in my opinion, because the one who loses less wins.
And in a one-on-one fight... you need to compare the stats. Here, the Archangel's resurrection will be useless.

In the final stage, summoning 2 Cave Lords might be more useful than resurrecting one Paladin. IMHO.
I tried it recently, and the Archangel wins in 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, and 3 vs 3!
Why only one?
To the Holy Paladin:
if there is one Winged Creature, it can only resurrect one Paladin; if there are 2 Winged Creatures, they will resurrect 2 Paladins, and so on!
To Night Nazgul:
well, it depends on how many Winged Creatures survive... although I try to eliminate these winged creatures at the beginning, before they have a chance to cause trouble!
Look: 1 Archangel resurrects for 100 HP. A Paladin has exactly 100 HP. :) One Archdevil summons 2 Cave Lords. That is, if you have 30 Archangels, you can resurrect 30 Paladins; the enemy, having 30 Archdevils, can raise 60 Pit Lords. :)
It seems the discussion isn't too far apart; few people are in favor of Archdevils, but there are some. I think the creators of Heroes, just like the creators of Warcraft, decided to add bonuses for humans. But Archdevils also have their own special qualities. By the way, what do you think, who is better: Archangel or Fallen Angel?
