This is why wars start, worlds perish, and galaxies burn.

I don't think the world will end. At worst, all sorts of weird things will start happening in this region.

My characters probably don't care much and could easily turn around and leave. Although, for example, the demon would like to crush this guy.
Personally, I vote for a cooperative, buffed-up battle. I see no reason to retreat; instead, there are many reasons to stay:
1. This is likely the final boss, and he needs to be defeated.
2. Inaction will not change anything. If we leave, the Society of Mages will bring another group of mercenaries.
3. Just for fun!

But first, we need to get Naadash and Funnel and have another discussion with them.

As if they weren't already happening…

pull Naadash and Funel and, like, have another discussion with them.

Well, the point is that you should decide...

Having retreated, the mercenaries settled in the previous hall, where they were actively pondering what to do next.

Buff yourselves there. Naadash and Funel have recovered. If necessary, Funel will now agree to any option.

– Here’s what I think about all this. This isn’t Loelick. Or it is Loelick, but not the one from the legends. You saw that monster; he doesn’t look like a good guy. Good guys can look, well, like me. At worst – like him, – the journeyman waved his hand at Ethal. – But a blue face and a mouth on his belly – that’s some 278gy!*^yg abomination. He’s doing something evil there, not just holding the rifts, and he needs to be stopped. This is no longer just a mercenary job; something more serious is at stake. But I’m not forcing you to follow me.

The demon ignored the juran's statement about how he could be a good guy. At the very least, it sounded strange and foolish. However, this Richard was indeed strange and foolish. But Etal couldn't argue with him on one point – it was impossible to refuse an interesting battle.
- Something tells me that beating this guy up will be much more fun than dealing with the petty stuff we've encountered before!
Emilia held back. She didn't want to get involved with that monster, but she also didn't want to upset her knight by refusing.

Alright, let's get ready. Who's eating sausage, who's doing what, let us know. If we can take a break and brew some potions, that would be great, but if not, that's fine too.

- If everything is as you say, - replied the Djurani, Tiolas, - then why did he let us go instead of killing us immediately? Perhaps something of the old Loelick remains. If so, we should help him, not finish him off.

-- Maybe it's necessary. I suggest we figure it out as we go.

If it were possible to make a stop and brew potions as much as you want, that would be great, but if not, then that's okay.

No.

Then just eat what you have.

Do we have four sausages? I suggest giving one to Thiola, one to Funel, one to Emilia, and one to Nadaash. What about the scroll of protection against mind magic? Should we cast it on Zumak, Emilia, and ourselves (a strong mage + skeletons)?

I also suggest buffing everyone with stone skin before the battle and then using mana potions to restore mana. And it would be better if Emilia did it. (it will be cheaper for her).

Emily has Stone Skin in her inventory. Did I make a mistake, or did you get it mixed up?
