That’s why I don’t drink coffee. Otherwise, it’s like, “it’s just the sixth floor,” and then, “I’m in too much of a hurry to cross the street at a green light.” No way.
Sometimes I even envy those who can calmly enjoy coffee as an ordinary drink. Even a chocolate bar with coffee or coffee beans in the glaze triggers a severe reaction in me (food of the gods!). Maybe I could train myself to normally perceive the taste of black coffee without sugar, but my body is categorically against this endeavor.
It somehow affects my senses, personally. It's like the feeling of a nail scratching a school blackboard, but in terms of taste.
At the same time, I can perceive the smell well. I can even choose good beans based on their smell, and my mom (a coffee lover) was very happy when I bought coffee for her.
I understand that tastes differ, but those who drink coffee without sugar are fools. Or at least those who claim that this is the only way to drink it.
And maybe, it's probably better with milk, yes... However, I can't do anything about the fact that, for me personally, coffee tastes good with anything, as long as that anything reduces the amount of coffee itself, preferably to zero. And in general, Revan, I tried in my time not just coffee without sugar – Greek coffee! And compared to that, regular coffee without sugar is a drink for children, because the Greeks drink something so concentrated that it's almost like a paste.
I only drink tea without sugar, for example, and I don't like sweet drinks in general. Although, I can only drink coffee the way Ples described – black; I can't drink it any other way. But again, based on my experience with green tea and learning to appreciate bananas, I could easily start drinking espresso after some time; I even started to get used to it, but my body rebelled.
With sugar, sprinkled on the bottom of the cezve and slightly melted – that’s perfect. Although, I often drink it without sugar (though usually with cookies and other treats). In general, the best coffee is with whiskey.

Same here. Although my parents drink it with sugar, and I initially did the same. Once, in the dorm, the sugar ran out, and I was too lazy to buy more, so I started drinking it without sugar and quickly realized that I liked it better.

Once, I decided to drink coffee at two in the morning so I wouldn't fall asleep (I had some things to do). I passed out after half an hour. Although, I usually drink it in the morning.

I tried it last year – I broke a tooth, and I don't want to anymore (although that tooth probably would have broken sooner or later anyway). But they are cool, yes.
Coffee makes me feel sick anyway, especially with sugar. I only drink espresso without sugar from a vending machine when I sleep less than five hours, and I need to be in good shape. It works, but only for an hour or two, unfortunately.

Actually, the best coffee is with whiskey.
I haven't tried it, but the idea seems extremely dubious. Pouring strong alcohol, especially with a distinct malt flavor, into an already sharp and bitter drink... The taste of whiskey will be completely lost, and it will be even harder to drink. I think if you're going to mix coffee with something, it should be with cream liqueur. If you absolutely must use a strong liquor, then cognac or dark rum. As long as your heart can handle it, that's another argument in favor of coffee without alcohol.
