The Young Pope



Not bad. The Pope as a character didn't disappoint. I liked the music. The obvious downsides are the pornography in a couple of episodes (in one, it's outright pornography) and the fact that the series is actually very boring, but since I watched it in the background, it was fine for me.

I stumbled upon it by chance... well, not exactly by chance. At work, I sometimes browse review sites, and that's how I found out that a new MASTERPIECE from Disney and its team was released, with a rating of 146/5. Everyone is raving about it and praising it to high heaven. I saw the screenshot and decided not to pass it by. Hmm... I'm not sure.
+ It's visually appealing, effective, touching, has a good setting, and maintains a high level of quality. Don't make the same mistake I did; watch it in good quality, because the visuals are top-notch, I guarantee it.
- It's incredibly cliché, and all the UNEXPECTED TWISTS are written according to the textbook. I started guessing how it would end in the first third of the movie. Only some moments were somewhat interesting, but overall, it's the same old story.
= 7/10, DISNEY, and it's not bad for a one-time watch, but please, change the screenwriter -_-

Damn... I guess I should finally give up on the Disney conveyor belt, not worry too much, and just watch it as background noise, while looking for good cartoons through trial and error. I watch cartoons when I draw, and if I spend too much time choosing a cartoon, I won't draw anything at all -_-

Watched the movie In Time (2011).
I became interested in this film because of its interesting concept, and in the end, I wasn't disappointed. The concept is as follows: in the future, every person can live only one more year after reaching the age of 25, after which they die. But at the same time, this time can be given to another person or received from them. As a result, time becomes the currency of the new world. I liked the film, so I want to describe my impressions of it:
1) The concept itself, in fact, doesn't affect anything. Replace time with "money," and the general essence of what the authors wanted to show will not change. This is not bad, even the opposite - schoolchildren need to be shown some things using analogies; otherwise, they won't understand. And sometimes, not only schoolchildren.
2) But what this concept does affect is the puns using time in one form or another. There are really a lot of them, and I believe that someone would get tired of them, but I liked it.
3) The plot and characters are quite simple, nevertheless, the story develops without excessive predictability, and the characters, due to their simplicity and small number, are easily remembered (and just as easily forgotten after watching).
4) They could have chosen a more attractive girlfriend for the main character.
5) There are big problems with logic in the film; if you are one of those who analyzes what is written in detail, then it is better not to even approach the film.
Subjectively - a good film, and I didn't regret watching it; objectively - I don't know, it seems that the reviews for it are quite bad.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi
I don't really know why I went: maybe because there was nothing else to watch, and I didn't want to break the pleasant New Year's tradition; maybe because distant relatives invited me, and they turned out to be quite good company.
In general, I didn't expect anything interesting or exciting from the movie, but, strangely enough, I was pleasantly surprised by certain moments, and some things I even liked very much. However, all of this consisted of well-developed details, while the main storyline and plot didn't evoke any enthusiasm. But at least it helped me pass the time, and what else is life for? 5/10

I haven't watched it, and I don't want to. I read the spoilers about Luke, I'm writing from Venus, I'm still cursing, and it's still annoying me. I even sketched out my Very Important Opinion.

I'm also being invited tomorrow to continue the family tradition. And I don't expect anything special from it either. Thanks to the "Heroes" player for the feedback; it gives me hope that it might be at least a little better than the seventh installment.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi

I watched it. Main points: 1. It's much better than the seventh part (although it's not hard to be better than something awful, but still). 2. I liked Luke. Of course, he's not that blue-eyed, bell-like boy anymore, but a completely different... cynical Master Luke, teasing his students and former students)). Apparently, he picked up some of Yoda's attitude. But he's good. Maybe even Kosha will like him if he watches it in the original version (I don't really trust the dubbing). 3. I didn't like Leia. But that's because I'm not ready to see an old hag instead of a cute princess, even if she's an iron lady. She actually played well.

Overall, I agree with the "Heroes" player; it's a solid five out of five. But I'll add a point for the special effects. They're very, very good. I liked the space battle scenes and the lightsaber fight scenes. And I highly recommend watching it in 3D. And another bonus point for the scene with Yoda, as well as for the cute ice foxes.

Total: 7/10 for the 3D version.

Watched Frozen.

1) Many people wrote about the promotion of LGBT. I didn't find any. The story is good and kind, but because of the hints and intentions of murder, I wouldn't give it a rating lower than 18+. And even the scene with the merchant's family – was it just me who assumed that was his brother?
2) I saw a similar story in real life, when the father and mother of two girls died. It was during the Second Chechen War. These sisters, just like in the cartoon, stick together as if they were holding onto the only lifeline, even though they are both married.
3) Promotion of traditional values and the integrity of the family. Elsa is only afraid of hurting a loved one.
4) Anna is all heart and no brains, just like my stepsister, and that's why I love her.
5) For those who like to analyze things: you need to distinguish between passion and love. The only kiss in the cartoon is between Anna and Kristoff. And the sisters – they are left alone and have no other relatives. Their love is like the last bridge that they will cherish until the end of their days.
I really liked the cartoon and its short films. However, the phrase ("The best gift is taking care of you") is very irritating. A loved one's illness very quickly and radically spoils the mood.

I wanted to watch some anime, so I decided to check out this adult film. I've heard a lot of good things about it.

+ Everything is great.
- I didn't notice anything.
= 10/10, very cute, the Japanese are good at portraying everyday life without making it boring. You can laugh and cry, there's DRAMA, there's mystery, and of course, there are relationships and sentimental moments. And unexpectedly, I enjoyed it, even though I don't usually like romance and sentimental stuff, but here everything is great and wonderful. In general, I'm not tired of anime and its tricks and techniques yet, so the "wow" effect from the already noticed typical features of the genre hasn't passed yet. I recommend it, it's a very cute cartoon, although it might be a bit girly.

Touristas, 2006

About the movie: A group of students decided to spend their vacation traveling through Brazil. Exotic landscapes, beautiful animals, interesting encounters – nothing foreshadowed trouble.
