Well, someone apparently associates loudness with power. I don't.

Dragonforce - Disciples of Babylon - 5, it's a typical speed metal track, and there's also a section in the middle that doesn't quite fit the overall feel. [MV] REOL - 宵々古今 / YoiYoi Kokon - 2, it's quite intense, and also just plain loud. LostAlone - Breathing In The Future Exhaling The Past - maybe not very powerful, but the layering of about two hundred voices is quite epic. Rhapsody Of Fire - From Chaos To Eternity - 3, typical... well, you know. It's not as good as the first one. Hammerfall - Hearts On Fire - 4 Volatile Times lyrics IAMX - 3, Your Love is a Drug (VA-11 HALL-A) - 3, it sounds pleasant (better than the first one), as does the previous one, but it doesn't really reflect the essence of the contest. Gloryhammer - Legend of the Astral Hammer - 6, it's decent. Kazuki Tomokawa - Pistol - 2, again, it's about the essence of the contest. Larkin Poe - "Trouble In Mind" (Live at WFUV) - 3, the same reason, but it sounds much better. Falconer - Waltz with the Dead [HD - Lyrics in description] - 3, it's lacking something. BRYNHILDR IN THE DARKNESS Ver EJECTED - 5, it's lacking something, but it sounds pleasant. Imagine Dragons - Whatever It Takes - 4, they have some even more powerful tracks.

REOL - 宵々古今 / YoiYoi Kokon – it must be fun, I'll give it a 5.
LostAlone - Breathing In The Future Exhaling The Past – "2:47" – a holy man sent it, wishing good health. The song is so-so – 4.
Rhapsody Of Fire - I Belong To The Stars – nice, pompous, but not off-putting – 8.
Hammerfall - Hearts On Fire – I shouldn't have read the first comment under the video – 6.
Volatile Times lyrics IAMX - seems sad, but doesn't really grab me – 5.
Your Love is a Drug (VA-11 HALL-A) – something very anime-like, I don't understand – 4.
Gloryhammer - Legend of the Astral Hammer – something very astral – 6.
Kazuki Tomokawa - Pistol – the lyrics are interesting, but the performance style… – 4.
Larkin Poe - "Trouble In Mind" – somehow cheerful, not really – 5.
Falconer - Waltz with the Dead – somehow sweet, the lyrics are okay, but it didn't really grab me – 6.
BRYNHILDR IN THE DARKNESS Ver EJECTED - something very anime-like, better than the previous anime-like one, even though it's a bit long – 5.
Imagine Dragons - Whatever It Takes – a strange song, but it seems well-made, I'll give it a 6.

Let's go. Dragonforce - Disciples of Babylon - 8. A bit long for a first encounter with the band, but I liked it. [MV] REOL - 宵々古今 / YoiYoi Kokon - 4. Just something for those who like it, and I'm not one of them. The rhythm is annoyingly repetitive and noisy. LostAlone - Breathing In The Future Exhaling The Past - 7. The guy in the background (the vocalist?) slightly spoiled the impression. But the choir is excellent. Rhapsody Of Fire - I Belong To The Stars - 10. One of my favorite songs by this band, although there are a couple more that fit the bill. And a pompous choir, just as I like it. The melody is pleasant, but at some point, it starts to get annoying, and where is the vocal?! Again, monotonous and somehow instrumental. Imagine Dragons - Whatever It Takes - 6. Just so-so, a bit too "Arandorian." Overall, well done, you really pleased me.

Dragonforce - you can even listen to the second half of the song. The first half – tear it off and throw it away. Along with the drugged-up drummer. 6
REOL - drink a martini, have a hit of acid, and dance until morning to this track. But, as I understand it, it doesn't quite fit the contest criteria. 5
LostAlone - well, at least it's not long. 5
Rhapsody of Fire - listened to it twice. 7

Dragonforce - 6. I used to love power metal, but I never got around to listening to this band beyond their standard track, "Through the Fire and Flames." I was going to give them a 5, but I added a point for the cool bossa nova in the middle; otherwise, it's a bit boring. Something about a yo-yo and a cocoon - 4. Too Japanese and too dubstep for me. Lost - 6. The choir is really good, but when the main vocalist (?) comes in, it all turns into some kind of mess. Rhapsody of Fire - 7. More interesting than Dragonforce. Hammerfall - 6. I used to love this band, but now I'm not very impressed. I might give some of their other songs a 7 or 8. IMAX Theater - 5. Just average. Maybe because I usually prefer either more aggressive electronic music or something more sophisticated. Love is a drug - 5. Also, just like the previous one. Glorious Hammer - 8. Okay, I won't be greedy; this is the best metal track from the submitted ones, according to my current taste. Pistol - 4. Sorry, I understand that this is probably a serious, sad song, but for the first minute or so, when he started singing, I just laughed. Maybe if he sang in a language other than Japanese, I would appreciate it more and connect with it, and the band plays in an unusual way, although it's not quite my style. They also reminded me of a cool Japanese jazz-rock band that I could send if I could remember the name. Larkin Poe - 10 bad little angels out of 10. Well, I had a couple of other options for what to send, but I just couldn't help but send these girls to at least one contest. They inspired me to start playing guitar actively again, and they are just very cool. Waltz with Grandpa - 7. Well, it's not bad, pleasant vocals (reminded me of Camelot). Something Scandinavian in the Darkness - 5. Cool, but drawn out and monotonous. Dragons - 5. I never understood why so many people are so fond of this band.

Dragonforce - Disciples of Babylon - could have been much worse, overall it's okay, 5/10.

Rhapsody Of Fire - I Belong To The Stars - it would have been much better without the main vocals and the related parts of the song, 4/10.
Hammerfall - Hearts On Fire - also a five, but still a little more interesting than the first track, although... No, also 5/10.
Volatile Times lyrics IAMX - the metal was a bit better, 3/10.
Your Love is a Drug (VA-11 HALL-A) - what can I say, 9/10.
Gloryhammer - Legend of the Astral Hammer - I thought I'd give it a three, but it's not bad at the third minute, it's a pity that the rest of the track isn't to my taste, 4/10.

LostAlone - Breathing In The Future Exhaling The Past - 5 Rhapsody Of Fire - I Belong To The Stars - 6 The vocals are quite good, but the lyrics and music are not very good. Hammerfall - Hearts On Fire - 4 Sounds like the previous one, only the vocals are even less interesting. Volatile Times lyrics IAMX - 6 The power is obviously in the lyrics. I didn't like the singing style, but overall it's okay. Your Love is a Drug (VA-11 HALL-A) - 3 It's just not good at all, even without considering that the track clearly doesn't belong in this competition. I added a couple of points because it's not irritating. Gloryhammer - Legend of the Astral Hammer - 3 See Hammerfall. Larkin Poe - "Trouble In Mind" - 6 Maybe it deserves more, I just don't have the right mood for this song. This is something you'd listen to in a bar on a spring/summer/autumn evening with a glass of gin. Falconer - Waltz with the Dead - 6 If the rhyme didn't falter, it would be really good. BRYNHILDR IN THE DARKNESS Ver EJECTED - 2 What are these sounds of a lagging TV? Without them, it would be somewhat okay. But overall, this track is just hanging out in one place with some drugs. Imagine Dragons - Whatever It Takes - 4 The beginning prepared me for the worst, but overall it turned out not to be that bad. The main moral of this competition is that you should always listen to the end.
