Every Day Is Night

Dragonforce - 6. I used to love power metal, but I never got around to listening to this band beyond their standard track, "Through the Fire and Flames." I was going to give them a 5, but I added a point for the cool bossa nova in the middle; otherwise, it's a bit boring. Something about a yo-yo and a cocoon - 4. Too Japanese and too dubstep for me. Lost - 6. The choir is really good, but when the main vocalist (?) comes in, it all turns into some kind of mess. Rhapsody of Fire - 7. More interesting than Dragonforce. Hammerfall - 6. I used to love this band, but now I'm not very impressed. I might give some of their other songs a 7 or 8. IMAX Theater - 5. Just average. Maybe because I usually prefer either more aggressive electronic music or something more sophisticated. Love is a drug - 5. Also, just like the previous one. Glorious Hammer - 8. Okay, I won't be greedy; this is the best metal track from the submitted ones, according to my current taste. Pistol - 4. Sorry, I understand that this is probably a serious, sad song, but for the first minute or so, when he started singing, I just laughed. Maybe if he sang in a language other than Japanese, I would appreciate it more and connect with it, and the band plays in an unusual way, although it's not quite my style. They also reminded me of a cool Japanese jazz-rock band that I could send if I could remember the name. Larkin Poe - 10 bad little angels out of 10. Well, I had a couple of other options for what to send, but I just couldn't help but send these girls to at least one contest. They inspired me to start playing guitar actively again, and they are just very cool. Waltz with Grandpa - 7. Well, it's not bad, pleasant vocals (reminded me of Camelot). Something Scandinavian in the Darkness - 5. Cool, but drawn out and monotonous. Dragons - 5. I never understood why so many people are so fond of this band.
