You see an attractive person, then you start communicating with them and realize that they are stupid and unpleasant, someone you wouldn't want to associate with.

Or, one can avoid making assumptions and look at the example of the officer skill, and see that charisma may not correlate with attractiveness at all. Obviously, in this case, it is an indicator of the ability to persuade. The priestess skill also fits this pattern.
