Is it worth starting to watch this anime?

Do you respect Revan?

Rhubarb used to be an annoying schoolkid, then started watching anime, and now he's a respected person and the soul of HeroesWorld.

No! Look what happened to that Heroes fan!

Incorrect conclusions.
(besides, I started watching anime much earlier) (besides, I haven't watched anything special for almost half a year, and nothing has improved in my life, quite the opposite)

No! Look what happened to Tox!

An option for Heroes players.

besides, I haven't watched anything special in almost half a year.

What special things did you watch before?

What made you start thinking about anime? Is the view from your window of a pre-war courtyard no longer inspiring?

What made you think about anime?

A little bird whispered.

Eh, well, it's not quite defined that way; everything is subjective for everyone. In short, for a beginner there are about a dozen titles you can check out (by choosing an interesting genre) and only then draw a conclusion as to whether it's worth continuing; like, say, Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist, Hellsing, Berserk, Naruto, etc. Basically, things you might have heard of even without getting into the subject.

It’s so complicated.

Sailor Moon!

Should you start watching anime or not?

I don't understand why Japanese animation should be ignored, or, conversely, why one should deliberately focus on it.
The more genres or options you consider, the better; it broadens your horizons and gives you more to choose from.
If you want something philosophical, Nebok, check out "Kino no Tabi." I always praise it.
If you want something philosophical with a touch of absurdity, then "Spirited Away" might be a good option. Well, if you haven't seen it yet.
In general, I'm not an anime expert, but I can name a few works that I like.

It’s better to keep watching action movies with Schwarzenegger; they haven’t made anyone’s life worse yet. And besides, from them, it’s just one step to the gym and the army...

Yes, that's exactly what she said.

And from them, it's a short walk to the gym.

That's a phase I've already gone through. I started getting into all this around your age, and then I lost interest. Maybe I'll pick it up again someday.

An excellent way to commit suicide is to go to Donbas and kill separatists and Russians, and then die from shelling or torture in captivity. But for now, I don't really feel like it.

Nebok, I think you might enjoy one of these titles: Kuuchuu Buranko, Yojōhan Shinwa Taikei, or Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. The first one is good if you want something a bit more… unconventional (but still good), the second one if you want something more about everyday life (again, good), and the third one if you want something with a comedic slant (and about despair). All three titles are good, and I personally like them; they’re among my favorites. You could also try Gyakkyou Burai Kaiji, but I don’t know how you feel about series about gambling. And yes, there’s a lot of despair there too. And it’s also one of my favorite series. I’d rate it a 10/10, especially since it’s one of the best works in its genre. It’s just a shame that only the first two arcs were adapted into an anime.
