And here's that song-meme, which is pleasant in itself. I'm not sure if I like the original more than this cover, but it's still not bad. Although it's not the best version.

While I was looking for a song for the contest, I came across 4 covers using the keyword "national music of the country...": Indian, Chinese, Nepalese, and another one. So yes, the song is popular, but here it seems to be considered their own.

Thank you to the topic starter and everyone who participated in the thread. We had a good time.

I actually have an idea for each "hurma" (contest), and I shove it back because "I need to have fewer music contests." However, this idea appears again for the next "hurma." I still think I should try it somehow.

It could easily pass as a decent music competition.

Personally, I find it difficult with music contests if there are more than 12 participants, plus or minus 2 (depending on the length of the compositions). After all, songs are not pictures; they require more concentration and time.

Exactly. Looking at the pictures takes about five minutes. Listening to the music usually takes an hour, if not more, because you also need to read the text or watch the video clip.
