Thinking about the problem of the gray text, which has been bothering me for a long time, I came to two conclusions:
1) Previously, everyone was in one chat, so communication could be conducted there.
2) More importantly than the first point, the approach to battles was generally simpler before; there was no need to use various MMO techniques with tanking, healing, and damage dealing. Everyone just ran forward, waving their swords and clicking on enemies. However, the increased difficulty of battles in the expedition forced people to resort to carefully describing and considering each move.

When someone bans random people for fun, supposedly because they are clones of someone else, everyone turns a blind eye to it, because "it's not my problem, what do these no-names care about," but somehow they only wake up when it concerns them, their friends, or just regulars in the social section, which turns into a loud discussion about the validity of these actions.
