The expansion is quite possible in reality. You just need to want it...

If life is a grind, then you probably can't complete your quest and are stuck in a port, working as prostitutes, carpenters, and alchemist assistants.

Thinking about the problem of gray text, which has been bothering me for a long time, I came to two conclusions:
1) Previously, everyone was in one chat, so communication could be conducted there.
2) More importantly, the approach to battles used to be simpler overall; there was no need to use various MMO techniques with tanking, healing, and damage dealing. Everyone simply ran forward, swinging swords and casting spells. However, the increased difficulty of battles in the expansion forced people to carefully describe and consider each move.

I will make this city burn
We're not planning to return

I agree with the second point. However, I must admit that I haven't been able to come up with a simple, yet versatile and effective mechanic.
