I do not rule out that the maps are not ideal, but judge for yourselves: if, for example, there is 5 days to hold a duel, and the players did not specify the Castles and at the last moment or even just before the game made their choice, how much time do you think is needed – and everything needs to be done quickly, otherwise you can wait until morning (you know how the maps load). I have reminded many times make your choice in advance and you will have the advantage of the red color (that is, your opponent must already make his choice based on your Castle) and we will have more time to fix errors on the maps. I repeat: there are our mistakes, but you should also be reasonable – treat the tournament with respect.

In your opinion, I have nothing to do for an entire day except make maps. And the map was fine, except for one mistake: you gave a ban to the artist!

The problem is simply that the tournament was initially announced as a tournament on fixes, and fixes are balanced and well-thought-out maps, which are usually created in advance, even before the tournament begins; you certainly can't create balance from randoms in half an hour.
And saying that I don't only deal with maps during these 24 hours is, IMHO, a peak sign of incompetence. You can prepare plenty of templates in advance and then simply assign the races before the game; this is done elementary in the game menu under additional options (well, I think everyone knows this).
Now, if you don't want extra time spent, you should have made a proper tournament for randoms, just adding a couple of points to the rules about the possibility of recreating. There's no need to reinvent anything; such tournaments are already being successfully held everywhere, and it's not a problem that they use randoms.
It is clear that my comments are a bit late now, but nevertheless, I hope my words will be taken adequately as advice for the future.
