NCF – Extended list of Neutral creatures.Auto-translated
What other mods do you have installed? With a clean version of the game and the NCF mod (including the mega pack and additional creatures), everything should work without problems.
I have been going through NCF creatures textures recently and I did find some duplicate files for some of them. For example if there is file called Apocalypse knight.(Character).xdb there is double called ApocalypseKnight_LOD.(Character).xdb . Those LOD files are not linked to none of the XDB tree originate files or their children.
I dug around the internet and I found out that in 3D models and games LOD stands for "Level of Detail". Basically this is a low quality version of the original model for zoomed out view. In heroes V this will be the adventure map view.
Is there someone who knows anything about those files and if they are needed?
I did a NCF test with and without the LOD files but both texture and unit behavior seems the same.
Is there a complete list of creatures with their stats, bios, abilities, and spells?
I haven't come across one! However, you can create it yourself, as it would be a valuable contribution to the NCF project. To complete this task, I recommend using NOIADE
They probably looked it up in the game and recorded it beforehand for the stream... in principle, you can also look it up in the game... it's just that it might be faster to do it through a file!
