Posts from Suggestions for the database system and message counters.
I don't think it's worth wanting everything at once.
I'm more interested in knowing what I can hope for and what I can't. If something is 100% not going to happen, then I'll have to figure it out myself, and the sooner I understand that, the better.
And why isn't database growth prohibited in the off-topic sections?
Отдай свои прошлые сны, В сомненьях себя обрети, В бешеном танце душа кружится! Не думай, что будет потом, Здесь и сейчас мы живем, Стань хоть на миг сам собой, слышишь!
The new one has a plus – the ability to start a flame war in the comments. Seriously, comments are a very useful thing. You can immediately tell a person everything you think about them, and if necessary, even engage in some trolling there. Although the old one was better because it had no limit and was simpler.
The database isn't even checked. One person can give another a lot of positive ratings in a day. Honestly, I just don't understand the point then. :) And if the database isn't controlled in any way and you can give ratings everywhere, then why restrict the message counter in the chat room?
Of course, if there are ranks, the database won't be interesting anymore. ;) I also support the old database system.
There’s no need to compare the database and the message counter. They are currently well-organized, and there’s no need to change anything. Besides, coordinators can monitor the databases.
Dyrman, there is still a limit on the number of database changes per day.
Let it be as it is. I would like to see who has been changing my database. It's not always possible to guess.
The counter shows how much this person uses the site. And the "checkmarks" show how respected they are.
And I can read the database, so it's not a private conversation :p I liked the system when you could have a lot of off-topic discussions in the database for any post. I also liked when you could just upvote a post and everyone could see it. Now, it's the worst option of all :(

Well, someone just flooded my profile with a bunch of database entries in 5 minutes (at least 9 pluses, and I can't see any more)! I only started complaining because of this; usually, I don't pay attention to him, but when I went to my profile... But how can I see what the database entries were for in the past? :( On the one hand, it's funny that I'm complaining that I've been given a lot of database entries :D but on the other hand, it turns out that database entries are just spam. And real "thank yous" get lost in the spam. And they become invisible over time :( And also: it's bad that the "thank yous" from newcomers aren't taken into account, even after they've already received 25 database entries; their old "ticks" don't raise their golden wings :( I also doubt that many other people have a lot of pluses that are actually relevant. You can spam in private messages.
Yes, in principle, it's not that important, since database entries don't determine usefulness, but only positive communication. If that's how it was intended, then there's nothing wrong with it :)
Added a message of some importance We have a "Sage" game in our clan. The leader asks a question on a specific topic (e.g., Heroes 5), and clan members answer. Answers cannot be edited, and you cannot answer the same question twice in a row. The player receives a reward for a correct answer. Could a similar project be implemented in the "Forum Games" section? And also come up with a reward?
