The only thing I didn't like about the maps was the script writing method. It's very annoying. Very. It's just incredibly annoying. Are there any utilities that allow you to write scripts in a normal programming language? Lua, Pascal, Basic, C, Perl... What didn't the developers like about them? Why does writing require using such strange selection menus? Help, people, I'll be making this campaign for 20 years. Or do I just need to download a new version of the editor?
The manual won't help; it only describes the most basic scripts. You simply need to learn by looking at scripts from other maps. The only thing I don't like about the editor is that you can't set enable/disable properties for items; instead, you have to use dynamic methods. Also, you can't make something appear that wasn't visible before. But otherwise, everything is simple and clear, and it's easier than manually assigning all the variables.
