What’s wrong with it now?

Heh. It seems that this time I'll be spending New Year's Eve alone in my bed, rather than with my relatives. I've gotten quite sick and won't be able to go anywhere.
Where do we go?
Where do we end up when we save the world?

Our place fell through. However, we can still gather in a smaller apartment and have a blast, even if it's with only half the number of people we originally planned.

I initially planned to celebrate the New Year at home, cuddling with a bowl of Olivier salad while watching some anime with my family. When it became clear that I wouldn't be able to make it home (to a neighboring city) by 2017, I decided to get some extra sleep and postpone the Olivier salad and anime until the Old New Year. But I ended up sleeping a day earlier. So this morning, we celebrated the Old New Year with our roommates, and then they went about their business while we headed to the Indian quarter to browse the sales and see how Indians have fun. As always, they were having a great time: singing and dancing, and all the streets were lit up.
Although, it seems like none of this has anything to do with the New Year.
We rode home on some strange subway train. The guy who operates the train (I didn't even know there were live operators on automated trains) turned off the robot that announces the stops for some reason and started announcing them himself, alternating with comments about our lives in English and Chinese. In general, he was entertaining himself as best he could. At the final stop, he finally let the robot speak, and it wished everyone a happy holiday.
We arrived back at our apartment 10 minutes before midnight. We brought snacks from the Indian quarter, and we still had wine left over from our morning gathering. That's basically how we celebrated the new year.

No. It's sad to be a person who needs to drink to have fun.

Decided to spend New Year's Eve with a green-eyed blonde. Quite the sorceress. She can even wield two staffs at the same time.
